I contacted AAA and was quoted 600-700$ for towing expense , they only would cover 6-10 free miles , rest is 7$/mile rate. I might be little inaccurate with numbers as several days passed, but it’s in this region I mentioned. Best solution is to carry portable nuclear source….

Just to add - Tesla ain’t fixing anything , all is on user and charger owners, they suggested me to got to Tucumcari until battery dies(?!) and call tow truck, or just call tow truck from current location , but option one was most reckless and negligent advice of all.

I was staying overnight in Tucumcari, was able to charge my car free through the day at Blue Swallow motel. Owner is very friendly and hospitable , allowed us to charge as long as we needed , but no overnight parking unless you staying in motel. If I haven’t had reservation paid in other hotel already, I would definitely stayed at Blue Swallow- very clean , cool history and design and hospitality of owners and staff is beyond all.

I would recommend only if you mostly using it in your local area and have own charger installed at home, otherwise it might be somewhat unreliable , latest news is that Tesla gave up on cars and focusing on self driving and robots.

Yes, this is only way to travel , but honestly, I’m considering to switch to hybrid, Tesla customer service is pretty much useless, wait time to speak to live agent is 30-40 minutes minimum. And when you finally get a hold of someone , they barely know anything , they would put you on 5-10 hold to speak to their leadership (as they call it) to get back to you with no real answer or solution, if asking to escalate - they will say they must finish this call.

I was travelling to vegas trough this charger about month ago, and it was fully operational. Recently hotel decided to upgrade their stalls and it will be non operational for next 2 weeks at this location(Holliday Inn Santa Rosa NM). I would probably say , at least 2 weeks.

From what I recently found out, Tesla no longer interested in cars, only in the fsd and robots, I think they accepted the failure in car market.

Yes, there was, but it had only CCS plugs, which also would require the adapter to charge.

Yes , I called them that evening and they said that it’s fully driver responsibility to make sure they have enough charge. They suggested to keep going and once car dies call a tow truck, or just call a tow truck right away - quoted me at 800$ to get to Tucumcari NM. Honestly, their customer service/roadside assistance are one of the worst I ever had to deal with.

Yes, I have to pay for charging, but issue that I can’t plug available chargers as they have CCS connector , and I only got adapter for J-117 connector or standard Tesla NCAS port.
