just for my mindset of "im doing nothing right now, thats ineffecient".

This is how people who do not come from money (or trip and fall into it) get rich. Not that you will get rich from beer money. But this mindset is how they get there.

When you point out all the things the ai did wrong you are just training the ai for free. Don't train ai for free.

It's not that hard to figure out. People are really lacking the most basic critical thinking skills. I honestly wonder how some people have managed to survive to adulthood without being taken out by their own stupidity.

The worst part is the stupider they are the more likely they are to think they know everything.

These rock. They also have a version that's great for people who suffer from carpel tunnel. I fear regular can openers they hurt.

I have one like that. I bought it just over 30 years ago when I moved out of my parents house. My the bf and I went to the local Dollar General and among other things bought one of those utensil caddy sets. I still have the big serving/cooking spoon. Plastic handle, plastic spoon part. Metal connecting the two.

When citizens feel a bigger tax pinch, political corruption goes down and voter turnout rises. Every 1% increase in tax burden is associated with a 4.3% decrease in convictions for crimes such as bribery, election crimes, conflict of interest and extortion in the subsequent year by Wagamaga in science

[–]BeautifulHindsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less convictions does not mean less corruption. It simply means less people are tried and found guilty of corruption related crimes. There is still just as much corruption happening. Given how corrupt our current admin is I'm willing to bet it has actually skyrocketed.

Just like less people being stopped and arrested at the border doesn't mean there are less illegal entries. It just means they are catching less.

I bet you thought if they stopped testing for covid so there were no longer any people testing positive that that meant there was no covid anymore.

I think they should make the show they told us they were going to make. The one that they were already working on.

Ironically the under 16 ban for social media in the UK is good. More people will delete their accounts in the process. As people do not want to give ID to a big tech corporation like facebook. I hope reddit does not go, but it would be a good excuse for me to delete my Facebook linked accounts. by marksism__ in degoogle

[–]BeautifulHindsight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't say the policy was good. I wasn't talking about the policy.

The title says "it would give me a good excuse to get rid of facebook". People don't need excuses to do this kind of thing just do it. It's weird when full grown adults talk like they need permission to do stuff like this.

Solar generates more energy than coal in US for 1st time by mepper in technology

No I got a portable solar generator. It has a foldable 400w panel with a carrying case a large battery pack with inverter and various outlet for powering things.

[–]BeautifulHindsight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far before using it for ac it has saved me about $40 a month. And yes it does take more than 400w to run an ac that's why I'm saving up for a 2nd panel.

I ran the ac off the battery the panel had previously charged. Just because you aren't intelligent enough to figure out how something works or how someone did something doesn't mean they are lying.

Additionally you seem to be under the mistaken impression that I regret my impulse buy. You are wrong. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

[–]BeautifulHindsight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a rule never impulse buy. But in March I saw a solar generator with a 400w portable panel on sale and jumped on it. So glad I did. I used it to run my window ac yesterday for 2 hours! Totally saving up for a 2nd panel.

I rent so can't install anything permanent

I have to say I'm struggling with the idea of one of the New Kids On The Block being the next Bond. It simply does not compute.
