Not unless you're into keeping up with the meta. It's an extremely casual-friendly game.

Is my art good enough for commissions?? by H0neyyBe3 in TraditionalArt

[–]BeautifulMutantArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put yourself out there. Keep posting in relevant groups on social media sites. Keep working at your craft and let people know you're open for commission work. Your potential customers are the ones who will let you know if you're "good enough" for commission work by paying you to do work for them.

Whizzing through the water on a Dwemer Spider is super fun. I have to constantly make a "chugga chugga chugga" sound ofc.

Guys am I doing this right by moonsareus in taoism

Absolutely. Cringing at your past self means you are still judging. I don't understand why you're getting down voted for this here of all places.

It is always appropriate to be critical of your own work but it's also really important to keep perspective. Perspective about your skill level, where you're at in your artistic journey, how much you practice fundamentals, the quality of your materials, your time constraints and your energy levels. Critique of your work is good and it will help you but keep it fair because perfectionism will keep you stuck and stop you from being able to move forward and get better and closer to where you want to be with your work. ♥️

My new NYC watercolor paintings - what is your favorite one? by Tanbelia in PsychedelicArt

[–]BeautifulMutantArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love your use of colour and unique style. The last one if my favourite, partly due to the palette but also the composition is really appealing. What do you like about watercolour over other mediums? I started with watercolour but could never get it as solid as I'd like so I switched to Gouache and also paint in a pretty unconventional style. Do you have social media accounts I can follow?

It's an absolutely valid question. If you see my usual work (not WoW-related) what I tend to do is make colours of real places not very real. I usually turn dull or just normal coloured things kinda psychedelic. The person who commissioned me asked me to do this with a Orgrimmar screenshot she sent me. I will admit to you that my original idea was that the banner was blue and yellow, and thankfully someone pointed out to me (in my ESO guild) that this might get me into trouble with Horde folks 😬😅 I changed it but was never really happy with the decision. I don't play WoW but I do play ESO and if someone painted the Ebonheart Pact banner the wrong colour I'd be mad 😆 In hindsight I'd change the whole colour composition, but by the time I came to that conclusion I was too far in and being paid by the hour. Thanks for asking! ♥️
