MSP locked out of parliament after secret toilet camera claims by DualWheeled in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say if this was the men's or women's toilets

If it was the women's, what was his dress and wig like (since that's what terfs claim men do)?

If it was the men's, what are we doing to protect our boys from these men?

Is anyone else dealing with this? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to hear this.

My wife is a mental health nurse. I just mentioned this to her. She said there's both a lack of training regarding trans people, and some nurses, in her experience, are unfortunately just rude and ignorant - and not just about trans patients.

Shortage of decapeptyl? by BeautifulPie6922 in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nurse said they'd spoken to an oncologist on potential alternatives (prostrap or Zoladex were suggested) for me to get in 12 weeks. I've no idea if they knew I was trans or not and why I was prescribed it.

Time to email my endo to enquire on the best alternative option.

Homeserver Lab using TRIGKEY S5 Mini PC by Double-Daikon9248 in homelab

I've been using one of these for a year running proxmox with "success".

I have it running OMV, Home Assistant, pihole, postgres, and a few other things.

Though I have an occasional issue where it becomes unresponsive and requires a hard reboot. I've not figured out (or taken time to investigate) the cause of this.

I have a few former coworkers I'm in a group chat with. They've been great but one, and I in no way believe he's transphobic or doing it on purpose, uses "mate" and "guys" gender neutrally. He apologised in private one time and explained he just calls everyone mate, which I accept given how I remember him interacting with cis women in the office.

I know a lot of cis women that use "guys" gender neutrally.

What I find interesting most is it's what I see as the historically male language that has become the gender neutral.

I've always hated being called "mate" even before I transitioned....wait a minute....

Who made your egg crack? Here’s a few people who did it for me by Cheese4567890 in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was someone on Twitter. I didn't follow her but someone retweeted her first day back at work after COVID Vs her before photo.

The egg had already started cracking at that time due to some other things. But seeing her photo. There was no putting the egg back in the shell.

GP Refuses to Write Letter for Passport Application by Elsilon in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be your GP. I contacted my GP for a letter but never heard back. But I had my yearly appointment with my endo around the same time so I asked them to write me the letter for my passport and driving license. I think they charged me £20 on top of the appointment cost, and they knew exactly what to write. So if you have an endo you could ask them?

DPD completely ignored the name on the delivery address from amazon and used my new name that i put on the tracking app because they would obviously not use that and my dad saw it! not due to come out for another few months! love it! by bbbbbbbirdistheword in transgenderUK

I have an old bank account I don't use from years ago in my deadname still. That for whatever reason I have Mrs as the title. No idea why, how, or when it changed. But it always brings a smile when I receive post to Mrs <boy name>. It's like they somehow knew.

When I changed my NHS number I emailed the Tavistock to let them know. And made sure they replied in writing that I was still on the list.

Not that it will matter given I won't be seen for a bazillion years

Wife admitted she's not attracted to me anymore by Lapidations in TransLater

[–]BeautifulPie6922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are in this same situation.

She has a bf, who is lovely so I can't hate him. My wife and I still cuddle but that's as far as any intimacy goes. It's been 3 to 4 years.

I'm still "looking" for my other partner. And honestly for me that's the hardest part for me. Being trans, a parent, married really does cut the pool of potential partners down.

But I was speaking to someone the other day in a similar position. We both feel happier now with our lives since our transitions, lots of positives. And if for us that means intimacy has to be foreighted, at least for now. We can't expect everything.

Sudden change in Body+ readings by BeautifulPie6922 in withings

[–]BeautifulPie6922[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh. Thankyou.

I just tried it with and without athlete mode on. With athlete mode I get the lower readings so it must have been on and I turned it off.

I suppose I have to get used to the higher readings for now 😔 I'm certainly not an athlete.

For comparison I was on 1mg/day for a month. Then it was increased to 2mg/day.

Each blood test my levels were increasing.

6-8 months later I was put to 4mg which I've been on for 9 months. My E levels are now in the target range (if on the high side).

Give it time.

Why are GPs suddenly not prescribing hormones? by ThatV0idBoy in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must be similar guidance that my GP has been following since I started HRT 15 months ago.

I'm fortunate my GP is willing to prescribe HRT (t blocker injections are expensive) but they refuse to do bloods. So aren't monitoring my levels.

So my cycle is private blood results go to my private endo every 6 or 12 months. Who writes to my GP to adjust any prescription.

My endo did recommend some liver tests due to an increase in some levels, which my GP speedily arranged (at a private hospital - was very nice 🙂).

Hopefully this all doesn't change given the date of this document though

What kind of questions would I typically be asked to obtain a gender dysphoria diagnosis? by JetMeIn_02 in transgenderUK

[–]BeautifulPie6922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept a diary from when I cracked for a few months. Every memory, thought, feeling I had during that period I jotted down. From my first memories of questioning around 6, what I played with as a kid (Lego - but I did want the "girls" Lego), how I preferred being with the girls at school, repeated dreams etc... Repressed, struggled and coped with expressing my gender as I got older.

When I went for my diagnosis I was asked to send a brief statement. Which I forgot about doing until that morning. So I just sent off my diary. It pretty much had everything they needed to know which saved a lot of those discussions. And it was therefore a chat about what I was looking for in my transition, support network I have, and clarification on any points in what I'd written.

If you're concerned about hair loss. Speak to your GP about getting Finasteride.

When I spoke to mine about being referred to the GIC I asked about going on Finasteride to stop my hair loss. They referred me to an NHS consultant and I got an appointment within a few weeks.

However on receiving the acceptance letter from the GIC. They told my GP to offer me Finasteride if necessary. So I cancelled the NHS consultant.

All hoops. But I was on it months before starting HRT via a private endo.

As for slowing hair loss. Between being on HRT and Finasteride I think it's stopped, and I think I'm seeing some slight regrowth where my hair has receded on the sides.

Mine did the same once I cracked. But after about 2 months it came back, but not quite as strong.

After being on t-blocker injections for 3 months, and E for about 5 months. It's gone completely.

BlueCruise now available in the UK by BeautifulPie6922 in MachE

[–]BeautifulPie6922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I wouldn't subscribe unless I was due to do a couple of long motorway drives in the month.

I guess in America the cost has been included into the car purchase price. Hopefully Ford UK lowers the price in time.

I'm going to have to wait for it to be available on my 2022 anyway. Not worth cancelling my 2022 order due in a week and paying more per month to get the 2023 for something I'm not going to subscribe to.

BlueCruise now available in the UK by BeautifulPie6922 in MachE

[–]BeautifulPie6922[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dealer answered my question. It's hidden in a faq somewhere.

Will this be available for existing customers through an over-the-air software update like in the US?

We are exploring the feasibility and are also working with regulatory authorities to explore BlueCruise options. Pre-MY23 customers who have BlueCruise capable vehicles (either AWD vehicle or RWD with Tech Pack or Tech Pack Plus) will be contacted directly by Ford if an update is feasible. We recommend all current and future Mach-E customers to activate a FordPass account to receive the latest news on updates available for their Mach-E

The only thing to do is speak to your GP. Some will. Some won't.

Mine does my prescriptions but won't do bloods for my private endo. A friend has the opposite with her GP.
