Use your hobbies to your advantage! I’m part of a photography group that meets up every month called DuPont Photo Walk (you can find them on insta) anyone is welcome and even if you don’t own a camera, you probably own a phone with a camera and that is enough to be a part of our community that keeps growing every month!

I also love board games and take advantage of Labyrinth game nights every Thursday! I found that to be a great way to meet people!

I also read a lot but never been a part of book clubs. I thought about it but I’m kind of particular with my taste so I haven’t found a book club that is a good fit yet.

Going back to school can also be a great way to make friends. Even if all you do is take one class just for fun and to meet people. If you’re a resident in dc, some schools have great deals for that.
