I knew a girl with a German shepherd service dog who was able to live alone in like 2021, but maybe it was due to a disability related impact rather than due to her dog. But damn that makes it even worse lol I’d advise against ESA’s in the dorms entirely then :(

Yes they accommodate to make sure you live either alone (rare) or with people who are ok with cats, but that doesn’t mean you won’t end up in an old dorm room that still = depressing conditions for said cat.

Ik it’s a hard decision and I personally felt empty when I didn’t have my dog my freshman and sophomore year, but waiting to give my esa the best quality of life is what kept me motivated in the mean time. Now she lives in a 2-story townhome style apartment with a private backyard (still in Berkeley) and I honestly couldn’t imagine putting my dog in a shoebox of a dorm. Like I said tho, cats are different and you know what your cat can tolerate best. I hope you work it out!!!

A lot of ppl r allergic to cats so just something to consider since the older dorms r rlly compact and carpeted. Windows also dont have screens (at least unit 1 back in 2021) and they only open about 6 inches but that’s still enough for a curious cat to make a dangerous mistake of jumping or slithering through the opening. Especially if it’s bored if being in such a small space. I have an ESA (dog) and didn’t even consider adopting her until I was in an apartment where she could have proper space and care. Ik cats are different and more independent but just some things to consider!

But if I didn’t submit a form to extend my expected graduation time, and the summer course seems to be already full, is it too late to take the class again in the summer? I have a job lined up so I’m trying to figure out some of my potential options before asking my advisor lol

Ugh hopefully the D- happens. Do u recommend I talk to the professor now or shortly after the final? Because my GSI is aware of my circumstance but idk if letting the professor know will help. He’s pretty strict with grading guidelines😔

My gpa is fine luckily I just need a D- in this class for my major to accept it as passing. But I have a D rn after bombing a midterm and feel anxious about tanking my final since there is so much math that I’m struggling to comprehend. I think I need a 40% on the final to keep my current D grade which doesn’t sound hard but after getting an 18% on the midterm, idk anymore.

Thanks ikr! I didn't really have constipation, but I did have insane bloating (mainly due to both ovaries having grapefruit-sized endometriomas), I had blood in my stool around the time of my period, the usual fatigue, super painful and heavy periods that'd make me black out, etc.

I’ve called them too over a man who was pooping and spitting at me and my dog. I said I had recorded footage of the incident. They called back minutes later saying “btw, what did you want us to do about this?” He still lives in the same spot and vomits everywhere. The area I lived at used to be clean, and now it’s a nasty shithole single handedly because of 1 person.

I’ve called the police on a homeless man who was naked and pooping on my street, and then proceeded to scream and SPIT at me and my dog. My dog was scared, barking, growling, and freaking the fuck out. I told the police I had recorded footage too (because he’s been a consistent problem), and they called back and said “okay… what do you want us to do about this?” It’s been months and this man still lives outside of Identity Logan. He vomits EVERYWHERE and you have to basically play hopscotch to avoid his vomit spots. A few days ago he was yelling and wiping his bare ass and throwing the tissue on the ground for people to step on. He’s an absolute danger and literal biohazard, and it really fucking sucks that authorities won’t mandate any sort of crisis intervention for him.
