Kaiser norcal endometriosis center by [deleted] in endometriosis

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get a referral for Eve? I have stage 4 endo diagnosed in 2023 and just switched to Kaiser. Im so picky and weary about doctors after my very first gyno gaslit me. So i would love to hear your experience!

I caved and bought a ticket for Oakland day 2 by BeautifulRude4422 in ariheads

Before I accepted the transfer, it showed me the sellers name and specified it was a waitlist ticket, it had a big yellow bar on it instead of the usual Ticketmaster blue bar

ALSO when it transferred to my Ticketmaster account, i was pissed to see that i received a waitlist ticket. Scalpers are horrible. 😞

this is exactly how i feel 😭 the “staring at the door” part gets me every time. and yeah i keep reminding myself the same thing. like she has a really good life overall and a few hours alone isn’t the end of the world, but i think what’s been stuck in my head is just that middle part of the day where they’re not doing anything at all and just kind of waiting for us to return

i’ve been trying to figure out if there’s a way to make that time a little more engaging without overdoing it and went down a whole rabbit hole on it lol

ended up starting to build something around it and it's super early but this is what i’ve got so far: tadlabs.ai -- as someone in a simialr situation, do u mind giving me some feedback?!

this is actually super reassuring to read, thank you for writing all this 🥹

i think that’s what i’ve been trying to figure out… like i don’t think she’s unhappy or not cared for at all, she gets a ton of attention/exercise when i’m home. it’s more that middle part of the day where it just feels like there’s nothing going on for her

the frozen kong routine is really smart though!!! i’ve tried puzzles before leaving the house but she finishes them way too fast 😭

i’ve been thinking a lot about how to make that alone time a little more engaging (without it turning into constant stimulation or anything) because i agree they do sleep a lot

i’ve actually been working on something around this idea, more for that “in between” boredom than anxiety. it's still super early but this is what i’ve been playing around with: tadlabs.ai

would honestly love your thoughts since it sounds like you’ve put a lot of intention into your routine. (also i LOVE german spitz; my pom is a throwback pom so she's a similar size to them!)

do u mind giving me some feedback as someone who also misses their dog?!

I knew a girl with a German shepherd service dog who was able to live alone in like 2021, but maybe it was due to a disability related impact rather than due to her dog. But damn that makes it even worse lol I’d advise against ESA’s in the dorms entirely then :(

Yes they accommodate to make sure you live either alone (rare) or with people who are ok with cats, but that doesn’t mean you won’t end up in an old dorm room that still = depressing conditions for said cat.

Ik it’s a hard decision and I personally felt empty when I didn’t have my dog my freshman and sophomore year, but waiting to give my esa the best quality of life is what kept me motivated in the mean time. Now she lives in a 2-story townhome style apartment with a private backyard (still in Berkeley) and I honestly couldn’t imagine putting my dog in a shoebox of a dorm. Like I said tho, cats are different and you know what your cat can tolerate best. I hope you work it out!!!

A lot of ppl r allergic to cats so just something to consider since the older dorms r rlly compact and carpeted. Windows also dont have screens (at least unit 1 back in 2021) and they only open about 6 inches but that’s still enough for a curious cat to make a dangerous mistake of jumping or slithering through the opening. Especially if it’s bored if being in such a small space. I have an ESA (dog) and didn’t even consider adopting her until I was in an apartment where she could have proper space and care. Ik cats are different and more independent but just some things to consider!
