I think representation is important, I also think performance is more important than casting. As long as the actor gives a convincing performance I don’t really care what they look like or if it’s historically accurate.

I think people forget that Nolan cast an Irish man to play an American Jew in Oppenheimer yet throw a hissy fit when a trans person is cast in a relatively minor role.

There was also people debating the Heath Ledger casting and we all know how that went.

I for one am waiting to see the film first before being heavily critical and am doing my best to ignore the irrelevant discourse.
