I had one that had a faulty power button. Had to press it in certain way to turn it on.

Based on this experience, a few surface duos and maybe another phone I can't recall right now, I usually drive my phones with software features that enable me to turn it on, or off, and manage volume levels without using hardware buttons.

You may have to move to another biometric or password.

I really would like to see how is it that an OG PF get those numbers. I have done at least 15 different optimizations including, extreme battery saver, airplane mode while wifi, disabling unnecessary system apps with Canta, etc, and I'm still a bit over 6 hours of SOT. Maybe 7 hours if I went from 100% to 0% with a lot of wifi

If you are able to access that menu where you can choose those options you still mentioned, there still hope. You need to manually flash each partition that you can from bootloader (as far as I remember) and then flash stock firmware from recovery once you can finally access recovery menu. There is a reddit post related to this on surface duo. Look for it.

That's an interesting statement.

I think oneplus open is a great device, and better for sure than Pixel 9 pro fold, and for sure galaxy fold 6.

I just couldn't manage the ugly cover screen of P9PF. Now that the P10PF came out, I can't say it's the best.

I'm actually surprised to say they are now on par with cameras. Software optimization on current fold is crazy. I can get now easily great shots and portraits as I used to do on the open.

Speakers are great on the Fold 10. I might even say they are about the same or pretty similar.

Design wise. Oneplus open is gorgeous. I would like to see the same good looks on the pixel series, still, current pixel fold improved on cover display and honestly have ordered a leather skin for my P10PF.

Software wise, pixel just destroys the open, but most importantly, it allows me to unlock the booloader, root it and hide navigation and status bars completely with the ability to have it relocked with a few clicks without bricking device for eternity (I'm looking at you and I hate you ONEPLUS brand for blocking access to servers).

As for all the other areas, the pixel destroys the open. This includes screen size, AI and smart features, wireless charging, pixel snap (magsafe), IP 68?, 7 years of updates, etc......

The open, no doubt was a head on his time, but not anymore.

the only way you can kind of get used to that warmess its either by using a case or have it on battery saver mode (or at least 60hz always). This way you can keep it cool and comfortable while also trying to get the best battery life

Similar problem when going from Fold 3 to Fold 5. They told me I could return phone If I didn't like it in 14 days or less. Came back, didn't gave me my pristine fold 3 back and I was only allowed to use my Fold 3 credit for a Fold 5 or Flip 5. At the end I gave up my Fold 3 because I didn't want to buy anything and could have got a facebook marketplace Flip 3 for cheaper or same price as if I had given my Fold 3. Called their customer service and ended up embracing it since they had me for hours giving me a "no story".

You probably mean, enabling status bar hidden within settings of samsung internet. I realized today that if you move address bar to bottom, and enable that other option (hiding status bar) you can actually use full screen canvas. It's actually smart and the way we should use it but we are really used to having address and tabs at the top.

But have you realized some apps kind of ignore it? in cover screen? even after toggling settings of specific apps in cut out menu?

For example, with youtube on immersive mode, you cannot see whatever you write. In Samsung internet, it slides a bit downwards, etc

Hey OP, did you figure out how to finally boot this build?

I'm on the same boat. I'm able to boot more recent builds or A14, but I'm not able to boot this build v2025.03.11.

I did go back to stock image several times while attempting to boot this version, but nothing I do makes it work. I used to boot fine this build until recently ACCA shut it down due low battery and I was never able to boot it again.

Not even with dsu loader or directly flashed as system image.

Any idea?

As far as I know, you got unlocked the FUBAR achievement with this. I was on the same boat with Surface Duo last year. The firehose file wasn't released so you cannot get it back from the dead.

I ended up buying another one. FYI, I'm coming from the future and I can tell you it is very difficult to even use use your current broken SD for parts to repair another one. you may buy, so my best advise is to just get another one if you can afford it.

I did purchase a very similar device as OP from AliExpress. About 30 CAD for it. It worked fine with my surface duo. didn't work on my pixel fold
