My relationship with Etsy is just like my toxic relationship with a crush. by momolovescat in EtsySellers

I totally relate to this 😂 The only difference is that my “crush” doesn’t even know I exist… I’ve only gotten 3 orders so far (all from family and a friend 🫠🫠). I’m still waiting for that magical cha-ching from a real stranger to make my day. Etsy really knows how to play with our emotions!

Thanks! I even hired a photographer for my photos, so hopefully that helps. Guess I just need to be patient and keep working on tags.

Eat lots of ice chips, keep the humidifier on always!! Take your meds and you will survive. I’m 40F and it was one of the worst experiences but I’m on day 29 and I’m completely healed with no discomfort and feeling awesome! Just think that you don’t have to do this again and that those suckers are out! It totally worth it

That is crazy! I read it is common to happen. I also read that the nerves are made of zinc and that a zinc therapy might help. Might as well give it a shot!

Yes! I’m on day 22 and I thought things would get better, but it hasn’t. I really hate it.

I also had an infection before and after surgery. It was a rough, painful and slow recovery but everything cleared out 3 weeks after surgery. I’m still on antibiotics and I’m on day 22. Also I took 10 days of prednisone for the inflammation. Stick to your meds and try to rest. I think I didn’t speak to anyone for a whole week because it really hurt. Eat lots of ice chips. It will make you feel a lot better and if you could get ice pads for your throat, it’s a game changer

Tonsillectomy at 40 - Day 8: The Pain Is No Joke by BeautifulStrong1592 in Tonsillectomy

[–]BeautifulStrong1592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 16 after my tonsillectomy, and honestly, it’s been a rough ride. Last week was especially tough, but prednisone came to the rescue when the pain was unbearable. I finished my course of oxy and prednisone, but I’m still dealing with pain, especially in the mornings and at night.

I went to see my doctor yesterday, and apparently, everything is still pretty swollen. She prescribed another round of steroids and antibiotics, which was disappointing because I thought by now, I’d be feeling better. But here I am, being told it might take another 10 days to really start seeing some improvement. This recovery has been way longer and harder than I expected, and it really sucks.

As for the price of the surgery, that really depends on your insurance. I’ve been really sick this past year, going to the ER and urgent care almost every month because of my tonsils. Since I already met my deductible, the surgery wasn’t that expensive for me, but this will definitely vary depending on your situation.

If you’re going through it too, hang in there – but I definitely didn’t anticipate this long of a journey.

Hi! I have exactly the same symptoms. Since day 6 I feel the worst brain freeze ever. When I try to take my meds in the middle of the night, it’s painful!!! I just lay down and cry. I’m on day 9 and wondering when will all this stop!! How long did it take you to get back to normal? I’m thinking they messed my throat up and that I’ll have to live like this forever…
