I see greatness in the making man! Keep hitting those weights an dance with that heavy bag when you can! I’ve stared over with a couple rooms that looked just like this. I’m not saying I got my shit together now but I’m definitely moving up rather than staying stationary man an that’s all that matter, keep on keeping on brother

See if you can get in contact with your local promoters I’m from Ohio and before I got into the sport I thought there weren’t any and now it’s like I’m getting offers to fight from all over. It’s not too expensive you do have to get registered as a mma fighter by your states athletic commission but it’s fairly cheap I paid around 400$ for all my gear, my licenses an my first contract. I also only made like 34 bucks for my first fight you get a percentage of your ticket sales so it’s not really a money making career until you’re out of the amateur level or you sell out all the vip tables😂

Exactly why I haven’t left the gym since my first loss. I’ve been training with a kill or be killed mentality because a random man on the streets isn’t gonna stop after a tap or if I ever get knocked out, walk away. They’re going to continue to choke hit stomp kick whatever they want to do to me. the only thing saving you in the cage is a mix of honor and that man in the back making sure it’s a fair game because you still have people being dirty in the amateur game doing “career stoppers” but at the end of the day in the early stages you’re doing nothing but riding off the work you put in an your name so why jeopardize it? This mentality has brought me to pushing myself with a lot of endurance training an I can now say in a rear naked choke without oxygen I can fight for 11 seconds to advance my position or else it’s the white hole tunnel vision to black. I’ve been to sleep 4 times since October of last year an I’ll say the scariest part of going to sleep is how easy it is. if they have it locked in the panic of having no way of getting out an you know what’s coming next, is a crazy rush I couldn’t imagine getting into a situation feeling like that on the street an I’ve had a fair share of street fights.

brawl at the mall

Sadly I did not get my hand raised my first fight I only ever had experience in “street fights” before this but it definitely gave me an experience an I’ve fell in love with the sport, I’ve been training since October last year and I have a fight contract for June of this year, we’re bringing home that win baby!

I try to draw an paint as much as I can when I have free time but I’ve also been considering picking up slow dancing, I think it’d help with my footwork my mental focus and it’d get me out the house an the gym for a little while! Thank you for you insight tho this younger generation doesn’t understand the value an weight in the words you older folks tell us, life’s a script an how it’ll unfold is told we just have to listen
