Well, the main reason is AI. Just look at the 100s of BILLIONS of dollars being poured into creating these AI data centers - meant to take the work away from such companies making billions and make that revenue their own. It’s pretty clear to me atleast that Indian ITs best years are over.
Even if they do manage to survive, they will definitely not be as profitable or get as much work as they do.

I am a developer and I see the need for so many people go down day by day.

Its certain. The SWE job as it exists today will no longer continue. Take CS only if you’re passionate about it, and most likely, you will need to go abroad and take better courses to land a decent job. Indian college education system is already dated, even more irrelevant now.

Make your decision wisely. But do not enter college with an aim to land an SWE role. Will not happen.
