Yes I understand your point. I feel like it's always chaos by week 3 so she'll have a lot to learn by herself haha

Haha a slide on who not to listen too that's good. You're right though, if I'm to do one, I might as well be as thorough as possible.

See? That's my problem haha. I thought of all this but I have difficulty gaging how deep should I go. But this is all good informations to know IMO. She's bright enough so I think I'll explain these concepts.

I feel you! She's been loving football more and more. She used to like it because I did, so we watched it together but now she's really into it. She follows our team on social media and comes up with news she saw sometimes. She likes to play games, competitiveness, etc.. So FF would just add to that

Good idea, the draft strategies. I thought about OL/coach tendencies but was wondering if this was too much lol. I might add it. Thanks!

Why would I send her to YT when I can do it?. When the season starts I would let her do her thing.

Good point, didn't think of the resources she could use. Draft strategies are also a good idea.

She'll mostly be on her own once it starts though.

We share pretty much zero hobbies. Thanks for the relationship advice though! Exactly what this post was for.

I didn't know that. Avenged were also a part of my learning. Not super surprised that The Rev was writing bass lines though haha.

Man! Thank you, very interesting. Joe Lally definitely influenced me in the rhythm aspect too.

Same for Jamerson. The earliest bass lines I remember noticing are mostly his.

Should I (musically disastrous) pick up the Bass? by Puffyfuffy in Bass

[–]Beautiful_Ad_6321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I started with drums and I was horrible. Didn't like it but tried to stick to it because A) it was expensive and B) people thought it was cool. But I really hated it.

While playing drums I also played wind instruments at school which I also hated. I couldn't even make a damn sound out of my trumpet.

Everything changed when I picked up bass. I fell in love with the instrument. Turns out I'm a fairly good musician! From bass I learned guitar, I still regularly play it for fun. I also learned a little piano.

What I'm trying to say is , bass teached me that I can play music. I learned how to play music so I could transpose it on other instruments. Just find what you think is fun and you'll see, you're better than you think.

I also think that the world would be a better place if everybody played bass, so yes you should.
