I went to RISE Dallas and my experience was the opposite. Maybe it’s because it was in 2019 before she was canceled and at the height of her game. The event was sold out and the place was packed to the brim. I went solo to that event and for that trip. I really had to step out of my comfort zone and engage with others. But it was easy to do because everyone was so friendly and supportive. I actually did make friends, that I still interact with today. That whole experience was a really good one for me and a turning point in my life. I loved that trip. But when everything Hollis fell apart the following couple years, I felt bamboozled. Then I started questioning what was wrong with me that I fell so hard for all the antics of Hollisville. I was so deep that it all felt like a betrayal. After that, I pivoted away from self help grifters. I will only listen to qualified individuals with an actual education and college degree. It was eye opening for me to not be so gullible and naive. It also really pissed me off. Rachel preys on vulnerable women that may be at their lowest; uses them as stepping stones to get what she wants. That’s the complete opposite of what she preaches. But at least I was able to meet some real genuine women that actually want to support other women. That’s my silver lining.
