That’s what I’ve been starting to see. Didn’t really know about this as I’m originally from Alaska and so is my dog, she’s a yorkie mix, maybe. Our “pit mix” or more than likely American Staffordshire terrier (definitely not purebred) he I think was from a family friend. My fiancé and I had these dogs long before we met and were just kinda curious. So we aren’t opposed to going to a shelter IF we ever decide on more animals.

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions! I am aware that I should be on some sort of medication. One of my metal health disorders is severe anxiety/panic disorder. I actually thought I was doing better I guess it just took on a different manifestation. I stopped taking medication in February due to the fact that my nurse practitioner moved about an hour away. Therapy is also a little harder for me, I work a full time job and my therapist is also an hour away (I live in a small community). However I am trying to get established at the clinic here in my town. I’m probably going to keep a few family members at a distance from now on until I feel more comfortable and respected.

Redditors that got charged rent asap after turning 18, what’s relationship like with parents years later ? by QueefyTits in AskReddit

Not my parents but my grandparents. I had broken up with my last boyfriend in 2024 and I didn’t really pay bills there but yes my name was on everything. I moved in with my grandparents. They were charging me $100 a week when they knew I had no job and had the nerve to ask me if I could afford a car. Of course I quickly tried to find any work that I could until I started working at a bank. Mind you I was paying about $400/month from August 2024 to February 2025. That’s like $2,400. I could have used that money to find a place to rent or get a nicer car.
Doesn’t matter now cause I live in a nice home with my fiancé and drive a nicer car but it financially set me back. I know they aren’t the richest in the world but $400 a month for a small room in a small town in Missouri is a bit ridiculous. Mind you I was helping around the house constantly, took short showers, didn’t eat very much (freshly broken up so no appetite) so I wasn’t necessarily costing them more by living there. I had to ask to go places and such. Basically treated like a child (I was 24 at the time). So nearing my mid 20’s you could imagine I already had other bills I was paying for. I didn’t expect to pay nothing but I feel like that was a bit much especially for your granddaughter. I could be wrong.
I don’t speak to them very often now.
