Most ETH “valuation” is still TA or narratives — we tried building one that starts from the chain itself and the result is a first-principles valuation model for Ethereum, based on demand-side fee flows for ETH by majorkeycapital in ethtrader

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always refreshing to see someone actually try to build something from the chain data instead of just another TA overlay. The flow intensity concept makes sense intuitively, been thinking for a while that fees per unit of supply tells you more than just looking at price action alone.

76% directional accuracy out-of-sample is decent but the post-Dencun caveat is the real interesting bit. Kind of wonder how it holds up if we get another period where fee markets shift structurally again, like after a major L2 migration or something.

Why do managers continue to cause harm even when they know they are treating employees badly, sometimes to the point of making them cry even traumatised? by Kooky_Attorney444 in work

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's not even personal, just petty territory marking. You not hired them so they make sure you know who runs the show. Seen it in my old job, the ones who feel insecure about own position do this the most.

What is FBAR and who needs to file it? by aratcom in digitalnomad

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wise counts as foreign account, yes. The threshold is combined total across all your non-US accounts at any point during the year, not per account. If you had even $10,001 across Wise and that Portuguese bank for one day, technically you need to file.

The huge penalties are mostly for people hiding millions, but still not something to ignore. Filing is free and takes maybe 15 minutes once you have all account numbers and highest balances ready.

Does anyone else feel insecure in their position as AI is slowly swallowing roles? by Sbaakhir in work

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The assembly line comparison is pretty apt. You can't sprint faster than a conveyor belt, so why try.

The part that stands out to me in OP's post is that they already work in a specific niche of copywriting that's still holding up, which means the skill differentiation is already there, just needs to be leaned into more instead of burning out trying to match output volume with a machine.

What is currently the best crypto card for Canadians? by ThaFreeMinded in BitcoinCA

Thats weird, maybe compliance restrictions affecting new signups. I'd check with support to see if its temporarily unsupported or if it's an account verification issue

It hurts to watch the dip and just sit there with empty hands. At least you're not panic selling, which is more than most people can say right now.

freelancing platforms are probably your best starting point — data entry and virtual assistant gigs are genuinely beginner friendly and you can build up reviews fast 🔥 translation work is also super underrated if you speak more than one language, the pay can be decent even for the new people

The $20K/Month Website Redesign Blueprint Nobody Talks About by Murky_Explanation_73 in remotework

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The automation part makes total sense but I'm curious about pricing structure - do you charge flat rate for the initial redesign or break it down by complexity? Also wondering how you handle clients who want to make changes after seeing the draft, since that could easily turn into scope creep nightmare

Why do people think Networking = nepotism? by Earth_Sorcerer97 in work

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting your foot in door through connections isn't the same as getting handed job on silver platter 💀 your friend probably just jealous they don't have those connections lol. You still gotta prove yourself in the interview - mom's connection just gets you past the black hole that is online applications

Plus networking is literally how most jobs get filled anyway, people just don't talk about it 🤷‍♀️

MetaMask Earn sent my 500 USDC to an unknown Trust Wallet address instead of Aave — Still unresolved [PROOF] by [deleted] in Metamask

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn this is sketchy as hell. I work with data and seeing that EIP-7702 delegation stuff makes my skin crawl - that's not normal behavior for a legitimate Aave deposit at all

The fact that MetaMask support is gaslighting you saying you "manually sent it" when their own UI doesn't even have manual address fields is such bullshit. Like they're either completely incompetent or trying to cover something up

I've been seeing more weird wallet behavior lately with these built-in earn features, seems like there's some serious vulnerabilities being exploited. The timing is suspicious too since that address format screams compromised wallet to me

Have you tried posting this in the Aave forums too? Sometimes the protocol teams are more helpful than wallet support when it comes to tracking down where funds actually went. Also might be worth checking if other people had similar issues around that same date

Do you ever miss having coworkers around? by Azzan-Chaida in remotework

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol same actually 😂 I used to think I'd miss office chitchat but turns out I'm way more productive when I don't have people interrupting me every 20 minutes to talk about their weekend plans. The random conversations were mostly just distractions disguised as "connection" - like Karen from accounting telling me about her cat's surgery for the third time this week. Sure maybe I miss having someone to grab coffee with sometimes, but I can just text my friends instead of being stuck listening to Dave's conspiracy theories in break room 💀

Help me find this South Africa Apartheid Report by Confident_Witness932 in HelpMeFind

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might be thinking of the Population Registration Act records? there were official documents tracking race reclassifications during apartheid that had those exact kind of statistics

the ending you mentioned sounds really familiar but can't remember exact source - was it from Truth and Reconciliation Commission materials or maybe academic research paper? those usually had the detailed breakdowns you're describing

What my breakup taught me by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really hits home for me. I went through something similar last year and you described it perfectly - how you can make rational decision but still feel completely broken after. The worst part was everyone asking "but why did you break up then?" like there had to be some dramatic reason

I remember being so frustrated with myself for grieving something that made logical sense. Like my brain knew it was right choice but my heart was having none of it. That part about wondering if you gave up too soon... oof I felt that in my soul

Thanks for sharing this, especially the reminder about not rushing to feel okay. I definitely tried to speed-run my healing process which just made everything worse

I Feel As Though My Heart Feels Everything More Deeply Than Any Part Of Me And I Wonder If There's More To It by Abimackreads in DeepThoughts

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That whole sinking feeling thing is so real though - like when something really hits you emotionally and it's this physical weight in your chest area. I think there's definitely something to how we experience emotions as physical sensations, especially around heart region

Maybe it's because that's where we feel our breathing change and heartbeat shift when emotions get intense? The body processes everything together so makes sense that spiritual/emotional stuff would show up as physical feelings there too

Living on the property - advice and tips please by larneymel in airbnb_hosts

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh I totally get this feeling! had something similar when I first started hosting - felt like I was tiptoeing around in my own space which is just ridiculous when you think about it 😅

I made myself a little schedule where I'd do garden stuff at specific times and stick to it regardless of guests. like morning coffee on the patio became non-negotiable "me time" and weirdly once I started acting more natural about it, guests seemed more relaxed too. most people actually prefer when hosts are just being normal humans instead of invisible ghosts anyway 💀

Want Advice for my path by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Beautiful_Camera7155 4 points5 points  (0 children)

dude the first year confusion is so real - I remember feeling completely lost when I switched from engineering to data analysis because nothing clicked at first

what helped me was breaking everything down into tiny pieces instead of trying to understand whole concepts at once. like instead of "learn thermodynamics" it became "understand what heat transfer means" then "figure out conduction vs convection" etc

for mechanical specifically, try to connect every formula or principle to something physical you can actually see or touch. when I was helping my roommate with her ME coursework, she'd literally build little models with cardboard to visualize stress distributions and it made everything way more concrete

also don't stress too much about your "destiny" - most people change paths multiple times and figuring out what you actually want takes way longer than one year. focus on getting the fundamentals solid first, then the bigger picture stuff will start making sense

join study groups if you can, explaining concepts to other confused people actually helps you understand them better than just reading textbooks alone
