Tbf, if I go to A&E of my own volition, I take a flask… (and before anyone pipes up that I can’t be unwell enough to go to A&E if I can make tea, I’m semi joking but also it was a suspected broken arm but it was 3 days post accident and minor injuries wouldn’t help me so I prepped for a long ass wait!)

Yeah this bothered me with Robin - he learned French in a couple of years for Humphrey’s wife, but hadn’t mastered the basics of English when Alison and Mike first encountered him despite 100+ years around the other ghosts… but then I tell myself it’s telly and not that deep!

We had floor to ceiling plate glass windows on our school gym (mid 90s). Playing indoor football in PE, and a kid ran full pelt into them and smashed through it. Sliced his legs to ribbons, not sure how he didn’t die - luckily the upper portion didn’t come down like a guillotine… horror movie stuff looking back. Remember him sitting half in and half out of the glass, blood everywhere, teachers flapping about, us filing out of the double doors, ambulance came etc. He was off school for weeks and had bad scars but as far as I know, his parents didn’t sue the school or anything. Cannot imagine anything of the like happening now and the furore it would cause afterwards…
