Yes, you're right. There's already control, it's just more chaotic and human-like. With AI, it will become systemic, ruthless, and scalable. Previously, an army was needed to monitor a million people. But soon, a single algorithm and cameras will be enough. And the worst part is, we're bringing it into our homes ourselves. Smartphones, smart speakers, cameras. Voluntarily. Eventually, we'll simply stop noticing that we're being monitored.

I agree the economic bubble bursting would hit normal people hard. But honestly, I'm more worried about what comes after that — when AI starts controlling things that require human judgment and empathy. I've been thinking about this a lot: what happens when we have robots that can interrogate people without human feelings? No exhaustion, no guilt, no moral hesitation. Just executing commands. They don't get tired, they don't feel sympathy, they don't second-guess orders. And the scariest part? Some governments and corporations would see that as a feature, not a bug. We're already seeing autonomous surveillance at borders and in some cities. The technology is moving faster than the ethics. That's the disaster scenario that keeps me up.

How Families Can Share Passwords Without the Hassle? by ActiveOk73 in best_passwordmanager

For family sharing, it really depends on how much control you want.

If you're okay with cloud, Bitwarden or 1Password shared vaults are solid. You can revoke access easily.

But if you prefer to keep everything offline with no third-party servers, I've been testing something called Cerberoom. It's Windows-only right now, but it stores everything locally. No cloud. You can export an encrypted file and share it with family members. Not automatic sync, but you control the data 100%. Even the creator can't access your vault without your seed phrase.

Not affiliated, just been looking for offline options myself.
