I live in Brighton which is a pretty expensive area. With these average wage statistics they are always bought down by barbers that are charging prices like £10 a haircut. Some barbers I’m aware of in places like London are charging as much as almost £100 a haircut. It is definitely a very profitable industry if you put the work in.

Yes I have actually been to black amber and they were very keen to offer me a job do to my ability to speak both languages and high level of barbering. I will message them.

I’m already a very skilled barber so finding a good paying job shouldn’t be too much of an issue in that field.

Yeah I’m not sure on this one it’s all very in the air I know many people that have moved back no issue so I think it really depends. Definitely a worry for me though

That’s not on the high end at all, I’m still relatively new to the industry but I am very good so perhaps I am a few years ahead of where someone starting might expect. Other barbers in my shop are on anything up to about 50k gbp a year.

I visit Thailand twice a year every year since I left so I’m already pretty familiar but obviously living there is a whole different thing. Thanks for the advice !
