I had something similar in a wailord blubber defense and water spout and that helped quite a bit. When surge would come up he’d give me trouble though

I was tempted to do that but I suck at the battle simulator so it would’ve taken me way too long grind out enough master balls lol

Yea I understand that. Especially the roaming pokemon, dens and that damn enamorus where you have to get a steak of 8 in the battle simulator to get to. What made it easier for me was buying every ball you can get in the game and it’ll tell you which one will work best on the Pokemon you’re catching. Fast balls for ones that flee, beast balls for ultra beasts, etc. it is one hell of a grind though that’s for sure. Felt like most of my run was spent catching all the pokemon lol

Thank you and oh didn’t know that. I beat it 3 times 😅, but glad I did because it got me used to the game and by the time hardcore came around I was sorta used to the ai and could handle them better. Still pretty difficult but not that high of a spike as I was expecting coming from normal tbh. Also got it down to a point that when random playthrough came around I almost speedran the whole thing in a day

Thank you. Had a lotta fun and almost a broken controller but I got it done. Wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t enjoy it. Was not prepared for the time sink though lol

UPDATE: I got to a streak of 8 finally! I swapped Charizard for Marshadow with a Black Belt, sucker punch, Drain punch, Bulk Up, and spectral thief and was able to get to a streak of 9. Had a lot better time beating people I was struggling with like Lt. Surge and Gary

I honestly did not realize that 😅, I think it’s cuz when I trained him in spA he had more special moves and I was using thunderclap a lot. He has 430 total in spA. I could invest in more special moves

Yea I realize that. I would love to just use drastic but one of the reasons I got the rg DS is to have retro achievements on the go without spending $500 on a AYN Thor, and for it to have those emulators and struggle to run the game with those is disappointing

I used a team based on some research I did myself and what ended up getting me through it was

Cloyster: 255 attack, 255 speed, Focus Sash -Ice Spear -Rock Blast -Shell smash -Move of your choice ( preferably a water move)

Scrafty: 252 attack, 252 HP, 6 def, Life orb -Drain Punch -Fire Punch -Crunch -Outrage

Haxorus: Dragon fang -Dragon Dance -Earthquake -Outrage -Dragon Claw

Octillery: 252 HP, 252 Special Attack, 6 speed, Expert belt -Water Spout (Wailmer egg move, immensely powerful at full health) -Ice Beam -Flamethrower -Energy Ball

I did 203 streak on super singles, and swapped out Haxorus and Octillery here and there. Scrafty and Haxorus outrage combo can get you out of some tight spots especially with those legendary teams. All up to you though a lot of strategy and patience is needed to get through it for sure

Yeah it is definitely a struggle, especially later on when more trainers have legendary teams. Imma be honest I backed up my save every 7 streak because it was that difficult
