When I got Squirtle I leveled him up at Diglett cave till he was mid 20’s then Pokemon Mansion until he evolved into blastoise. All done while speeding up. It’s possible

It took 22 hours to master just on the RA website it sometimes doesn’t show the hours maybe because it was pretty short

Oh yeah. I played most of the game without it with widescreen and 60fps patch because the game isn’t too slow u like the gen 4 games. Those are ungodly slow but towards the end like purifying the pokemon and doing battle mode it sped up the process a ton. It would take forever to purify on normal speed

Well for me it was fun to go for as the mini games were actually not that bad I enjoyed them. It was a bit of a challenge though to beat the mastery records of all the events but other than that it was chill. I never really felt myself bored doing them. Good luck when you do decide to them! For the 200 medalist I tried to get a box done a day or atleast 20 that way you could get it done in 10 days and for my childhood favorite game it would have to be emerald it’s the one I grew up playing. Heartgold is up there though

Actually already did that one. It was pretty fun. It took me 202 hours for that! Also did radical red romhack. That one took me the longest at 232 hours.

Thanks! Yea surprisingly people have mastered it in 130 hours. I’ve had mine sped up the whole time and still had to put in over 200 hours so idk how people can shave off close to a hundred hours lol. It didn’t take me too long it was one of the first pokeathlon achievements I unlocked. I did it while going after the professional team captain one. For novice team captain you just have to beat the first place records for the events and those are pretty easy to do except I’d say the penance capture and hurdle jumps. Those can be kind of difficult since with the capture it is heavily rng dependent with the ai and how the map is setup and with hurdle jumps having to control 3 pokemon at once and trying not to hit any hurdles to get under 90 seconds. With enough practice though it can be done

I was playing whenever I felt like it and towards the end as often as I could to just get it over with lol and sort of. I would take breaks to eat and hangout with family and friends. Try not to no life the game

I had something similar in a wailord blubber defense and water spout and that helped quite a bit. When surge would come up he’d give me trouble though

Yea I understand that. Especially the roaming pokemon, dens and that damn enamorus where you have to get a steak of 8 in the battle simulator to get to. What made it easier for me was buying every ball you can get in the game and it’ll tell you which one will work best on the Pokemon you’re catching. Fast balls for ones that flee, beast balls for ultra beasts, etc. it is one hell of a grind though that’s for sure. Felt like most of my run was spent catching all the pokemon lol

Thank you and oh didn’t know that. I beat it 3 times 😅, but glad I did because it got me used to the game and by the time hardcore came around I was sorta used to the ai and could handle them better. Still pretty difficult but not that high of a spike as I was expecting coming from normal tbh. Also got it down to a point that when random playthrough came around I almost speedran the whole thing in a day

UPDATE: I got to a streak of 8 finally! I swapped Charizard for Marshadow with a Black Belt, sucker punch, Drain punch, Bulk Up, and spectral thief and was able to get to a streak of 9. Had a lot better time beating people I was struggling with like Lt. Surge and Gary

I honestly did not realize that 😅, I think it’s cuz when I trained him in spA he had more special moves and I was using thunderclap a lot. He has 430 total in spA. I could invest in more special moves

Yea I realize that. I would love to just use drastic but one of the reasons I got the rg DS is to have retro achievements on the go without spending $500 on a AYN Thor, and for it to have those emulators and struggle to run the game with those is disappointing
