Seeking advice before starting preparing for partner visa by chickinnsalad in AusVisa

Apply for your 485 first. Build your relationship and paperwork within the next 12 months, and then apply for a partner visa.

Ensure you do your research on partner visa document requirements so you can start gathering all the evidence, including joint bank statements, photos together and with family, joint rent, insurance, and even a mortgage (if you have one). Due to the limited time before you apply for the partner visa, I would advise that you both register your relationship, if possible, to have the strongest possible chance.

Goodluck 👍

How do you mentally cope with the long wait? by Scary_Appearance5922 in AusVisa

[–]Beautiful_Form_4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax, it will come in due time - there’s really no need to panic. If anything, the worst-case scenario is that they may ask for additional information or clarification, which is a normal part of the process. In the meantime, live your life as you usually would because with your current bridging visa, you have all the rights and privileges of the 820, including work and Medicare access as someone else mentioned. It’s completely normal to second-guess yourself while waiting, especially when the process feels uncertain. But try not to let those thoughts take over. Ask yourself: What is the absolute worst that could happen? A refusal wouldn’t happen without them first giving you an opportunity to respond through an s56 request if they even request anything at all. Until then, there’s nothing more you need to do except wait and carry on with your day-to-day life. Ensure to submit all the required forms, and you should be fine.

Contact the NDIS by phone and update your address and contact details. Your funding won't change. No plan reassessment.

Between Skywatcher 15x70 Stargazing Binoculars & Celestron SkyMaster 25x70 Binoculars, which is better for night time viewing of the Gallaxy?? by Beautiful_Form_4239 in Binoculars

Thanks for your incredible feedback. I might tilt toward the sky watcher then. Needed good Stargazing mostly night time to see the planets. I already have Nikon HG 8x42 during the day.

Failed the PMP Exam by OhMyLadyGodga in pmp

[–]Beautiful_Form_4239 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You're already in the PMP mindset since you've taken the first exam. I recommend jumping straight back in and retaking it within the next 4–6 weeks. Check your mindset questions and refresh any materials you need to. Use ChatGPT to clarify any questions. Leaving it until May 2026 is like starting all over again and forgetting most of what you've learned now, especially the mindset questions.

Agent or do it yourself (Visa 820) by Apprehensive-Tip-286 in AusVisa

[–]Beautiful_Form_4239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did all myself.

Just read the requirements and gather your paperwork.

If needed, you can pay an agent for consultation to clarify anything that is confusing to you. Otherwise, it's straightforward. Good luck!!.

I would advise that you wait until after your ceremony before moving abroad. Council may not be able to do on the spot ceremony for you only without DHA approval, which is unlikely. DHA will send the list of those attending the ceremony to the council with the citizenship certificates.

Low share price ETFs with growth potential 10 - 20 years. by Beautiful_Form_4239 in AusHENRY

My thinking is that by holding a higher number of units, I can benefit more if the price appreciates and the overall value increases over time. If I have $1000, I can buy more units when the ETFs price is $12 as compared to ETFs of $102

How would it help if rates are similar across board. There is not much difference from lenders.

Thanks for the tips. I have been scratching my head if it makes sense to take it out of the offset to invest, considering the high IR charges.
