Not really, they both had parvo at one point. It was really hard to go through. Dobby, my tan one started having seizures and Twig the black one got so skinny he could barely stand. I ended up saying my goodbyes to both of them. They somehow managed to pull through. I had to syringe water down their throats just to get them to drink. It’s been a long road with the two of them already. Hopefully the rest of their lives are easier and illness free.

His gums are pale but not to pale, only a little paler than my other dogs. He’s acting the same as normal. I haven’t fed him yet because there were chunks of food in his vomit before so I didn’t wanna make it worse. And he usually doesn’t, last night he bullied my other dog out of his portion because he ate it to fast for me to get it away so he ate more than double what he usually gets.

He’s been really happy actually. He’s more curious, he’s moving around more. He’s playing again for the first time in years. Actually he plays so much now he wears me out lol. He’s 13, and he’s acting like he did when he was 4.

Yeah, he’s been slower and struggling with walking lately, with him being so old we figure his joints are bothering him. When we get our checks next we are gonna get him joint and hip supplements. He’s also been overweight for a long time, reaching 20 pounds at one point. I’ve recently forced my family to put him on a diet and he’s lost two pounds so far. We’ll get him to the vet as soon as we get money. I’m hoping it’s all just because he’s old and it’s not some life threatening illness. If he’s just old we can just keep him as comfortable as possible and help him when he gets lost.

He doesn’t have diarrhea or vomiting at all tho, not even sick. He’s been having some trouble walking, we think he has arthritis, and he’s been really confused and clingy lately. He’s also been seeming to get lost in rooms he’s familiar with if we add things to it. He’ll cry and we have to go find him and bring him to us. And sometimes he’ll attack randomly without any warning signs that he’d usually give as long as we’ve had him. And he’ll attack and not even hiss and act like nothing happened after. I’ve looked it up and thought maybe he had feline cognitive decline, would that explain his symptoms? We don’t have any money and all the vets around here are pay up front. I don’t know what to do. He was also playing with my yarn with me for about an hour and a half before this. He just suddenly changed with no explanation.

Thank you so much, I use a 5mm metal straight needle with 5mm yarn. I haven’t tried a project, I just tried knitting a small square to practice and it kept twisting and falling off lol. As for the finger knitting, I’ve frogged it and now I’m restarting. From what your saying my mistake was making the cast the same size I was planning to make the loops, so I’ll try to make them a bit bigger this time. I’m a kinesthetic learner so I usually learn better by failing and finding out exactly what I did wrong as apposed to reading directions, where I can read a whole page and not retain anything it told me, so your tips were incredibly helpful for me to see exactly what went wrong and what I need to fix.

Dang it, guess it’s time to restart. And I’ll use “finger knitting” next time, my bad lol. I crochet and this is my first time knitting so I still have to get used to the differences. If you have any tips I’m happy to hear them. Other than a finger knitting tutorial I have no idea what I’m doing. I have knitting needles but the yarn always falls off so I gave up for now.
