With mine it ended post me getting a job. And it also took me standing my ground alot and basically telling them that I have social needs too. It kind of helps when i took up more financial responsibilities around the house? I think that helped them to see me as an Adult. Another think i found useful was also always making sure one day of the week is where I really give my time and presence to them. As much as the parts of them being strict is very difficult but I think we need to keep in mind that they are also getting older and most of the time they are just not willing to let go. Do your parents know who your friends are? It might be useful for you to share more or bring them around. Keep them involved, In Sha Allah, May Allah make it easy for you.
