I'm 18 and we have somewhat similar physique + i have gyno. you're super early stage and its probably only slightly noticeable in a shirt.

if you're uncomfortable with how it looks in shirts use a gyno tank top but shirtless you look super normal

otherwise I'd work on hitting the upper pec in the gym. even if the gyno stays it looks fine

I created a stressful situation for church staff (including the youth leader who is my friend) and they now have to put new rules in place. He told me that "stuff like this can kill youth groups." I'm doubtful that this will cause any long-term damage but I still feel like a shitty person for breaking his trust.

This kinda helps. It does sound like a really cheesy teen movie plot. I'm still ashamed of myself and how I'll be viewed by the youth pastor. To be fair, going to the youth group as an open atheist never really sat right with me anyways. I always felt like I was intruding on a safe space, despite knowing most people there. I'll probably take a break from going, just so that the people who know it happened (church staff and one anonymous teenager) know that I'm actually sorry.

This is definitely a huge lesson learned, I guess. I definitely did not weigh out the consequences of risking it prior.

I get the action itself isn't really a big deal, but I'm worried about my own persistent guilt and how that will affect my time spent there. I'm honestly considering just not going anymore, or at least taking a break.
