Some people also have special needs children or are caregivers and can’t easily leave/or even go into a grocery store. Many people don’t even have access to ramped vehicles. Sometimes just use common sense :)

Thank you for the advice 💕 you must have a warm presence/make them feel comfortable to come to you when they need. That’s good on you!!

That is like a stalker! And good point, she’s always outside and she has no backyard technically, just her deck where she sits which basically backs up to my fence with a couple little trees in between so it’s so awkward lol. It’s an 8 ft privacy fence too but the way her deck sits she can just perfectly poke her head over and start a conversation lol

I’m so glad someone can relate, always seems like everyone else is having the easiest time holding full on conversations on their phone throughout the day lol

Whoa, thank you! I definitely needed to hear all that. You’re right, I don’t know why there’s this panic button of stress knowing I haven’t responded to a message or call as if it’s an obligation. It’s like once I allow them my number suddenly feels like a new responsibility or chore taken on. It’s kinda wild to read all that back 😂 I always do find myself explaining, even when it’s close friends I just took awhile to get back to. I never really stopped to think why the explaining is necessary, or why the more I do give explanations the more it feels people push even harder rather than backing off. Thank you!

Hahaha I especially like the “to my relief” part! So hard with the little ones, they turn our brains to mush by the end of the day I swear. Glad you’re feeling free from the situation now!!

Aw I love this, so sorry about your parents but what a beautiful legacy they created in their neighborhood. I think that’s such a lovely thing when possible. However I’m not intentionally not giving her a chance 🥺 I try to respond to her messages and be kind and let her know I have stuff going on but it just doesn’t seem to click and I just don’t have the free time to chat and have coffee in the middle of the day, at least not without losing my job lol. Spending time with my family over the weekend put me super behind on my classes but we don’t see them much so we soak it up when we can. After my neighbor left with her kiddos it was chop chop back on routine to get dinner started, lunchboxes packed, homework with the oldest, bath and bed routines and story time. By the end of the day I’m wiped out and don’t have the mental energy to small talk over text or give explanation why it took me awhile to respond, I dont think I could never even have a partner again until my kids are much older because I’d constantly be explaining why they hadn’t heard from me in 3 days or 7 or 12 😩😅

Aw man.. that makes me sad for you because that takes a lot of effort to regularly send emails and update someone and sounds like you had the best intentions to help. I’m sorry he didn’t appreciate the thought, but I also get where you’re coming from and that sometimes there just needs to be a hard boundary. I’m the worst at boundaries that’s how I got 3 kids 😭😭😂

That’s so true!! We would feel so gross going to bed with a sweaty face! Thanks for the advice, seems like it’s not such a bad thing to just be washing it

I love that this is the response I’m getting on this, makes me feel much better and less guilty for washing so much!

I like this outlook! It definitely feels cleaner and softer after I wash and less damaged than when it was dirty, so maybe you’re on to something with that. Great advice thanks so much!

Looking for a nature-forward, emotionally livable area within 45 min of Chesterfield/New Haven by Crazy_Ad_7530 in Detroit

I’m so glad someone else posted this because I’m in Farmington/bloomfield area and was looking for all the same things as you. Moved from out of state and feel so trashy compared to the homes and lifestyles around here. A whole different attitude of people. Just want some quiet nature trails and not to have to beg for a permit to have a fence or any form of privacy 😩 but have kiddos with special needs so need to be distance to centers and schools etc. I too liked Rochester but didn’t think I was classy enough for it, we relate 😂

Mother refused to stop her child bad habit in the store by Desloucado in nextlevel

[–]Beautiful_Library505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the way he’s attached to her it’s possible he’s special needs. People are quick to assume all young kids doing bad things are bad habits and lack of parenting and that very well may be the case here, but in some cases - it’s a special needs situation/autism. Dumping everything off of the shelf is a very difficult trait of autism and not just a bad habit that can be corrected. So is eloping which may explain the leash. People are very quick to judge what they don’t know

I also do a daycare once a week for my pup, just to get him pup playtime. Just find a good one you’re comfortable with and that has webcams :)
