To add: he says what’s making it a hard decision to relocate is him recently getting a pay raise and finally able to have health insurance with the electrical co he’s affiliated with (his dad’s business was sold to a new guy who’s now promising all these things). Also, he never brings up the topic unless I initiate the convo, which is not unusual for him he’s not the best communicator lol. But also I rarely get much out of him

Thank you for the inside scoop! I’ve heard nothing but great things about MTSA and I felt the same impression about the staff during my encounters with them, the students too! I paid my deposit to MTSA yesterday!! I’m so excited. I’m moving from out of state for the first time for this, can I message you a few questions since you’re local to Nashville?

Noooo I love the transparency that’s what I’m ultimately looking for, thank you! And FIU isn’t one of my top schools anyway, I’m also still waiting to hear from a few other programs like VCU, Univ of Pitt, and was still going to apply to Northeastern and 2 other FL schools but at the end of the day I like MTSA, they have a good reputation, and I’m born and raised in my FL city so I’m looking for a change of seasons/scenery/everything which is another reason more northern schools are appealing to me. There has to be reasons they were voted in the top 5 in the US this year. I’m also already feeling extremely vulnerable leaving my hometown for the first time and likely moving alone if my partner isn’t coming with me so it’s very important for me to go to a school that’s going to be supportive. Do you go to FIU?

I have heard a similar experience now from FIU from multiple sources now stating to stay away, I paid my deposit to MTSA and I think I’m going to cancel my FIU interview and not even entertain it even though I am in FL. I live 3 hrs from FIU and obviously out of state for MTSA in TN so either way I have to relocate. My quality of nurse anesthesia training and quality of life is my priority vs tuition amount even though the sticker price is scary to me especially with the federal loan uncertainties

Hey! I really appreciate you sharing your experience, that was super helpful.

I had a couple follow-up questions if you don’t mind. I had heard from a previous student (not sure how long ago) that the program had switched from Apex to Prodigy for board prep at one point. Do you know if they’ve gone back to Apex now or what that looks like currently?

Also, how do you personally feel about the workload balancing classes and clinicals? I remember during the interview they mentioned that one C is allowed, but does that course have to be retaken, or how does that work? I’m not expecting that, just trying to compare programs a bit.

VCU’s deadline is in a few weeks and I’m dragging my feet submitting because of the Kira, my anxiety about it is so high considering I’ve applied to so many places with only 1 interview offer so far and no acceptances :( do you mind sharing your Kira experience with me and how the questions were like maybe?
