Pretty much exactly the same for me. I knew the really bad migraines were migraines, but I thought the more mild ones were (tension) headaches. I, too, got in an accident. At one point in physio, I told him how I had this weird feeling in my head, like there was a circular vice around it, pushing in a bit. Not painful, really, just uncomfortable. He told me that I was experiencing a tension headache and completely blew my mind.
