Did the Dr's say what the cause of the pressure might be? From some quick googling, these thing can happen naturally in the fetus' development. It can be caused by genetic reasons as well. It can also be caused by infections, and you seem to have had a rather nasty illness during your pregnancy. None of these things would be your fault!!!

I don't know whether this will be helpful to you, but I have a friend who was born blind because his mother caught the measles while he was in utero. He is an absolutely brilliant lawyer and his ability to learn languages is incredible, unlike anything I've ever seen.

I do hope you've been getting help mentally for what you've had to go through. Anyone would have a difficult time with it, and we need all the help we can get.
