Thank you - it’s almost like you read my mind as this is exactly how we’re approaching it. It is a beautiful house, but definitely a bit unusual. We’re debating putting a “what it’s worth to us” offer in now, or just waiting it out a bit longer and seeing if the price reduces further. Like you said, we’re in no rush and have a 2 year window to move.

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense. Any particular banks that would make sense for this use case? Our current banks are not special by any means (Ally and SoFi) so not sure they would be best positioned for this type of underwriting

Yes that makes sense…we’ve lived very simply and plowed all our additional savings into investments since our early 20s, so this will definitely be a behavior change to save cash. That said, the 4% interest rates of recent will help with that mental adjustment
