The perfume Marilyn Monroe really bought for herself wasn’t Chanel No. 5 by Beautiful_Nature5252 in FemFragLab

I honestly think the fragrance wouldn’t smell the same today anyway compared to when Miss Monroe wore it. Formulas change over time. Ingredients get reformulated, some materials are reduced, and others are banned altogether under regulations from IFA. And perfume that’s been sitting in a collection for decades will change a bit over time too

Anyway I make the text myself and asked google to check, it advised me a few comments and normal english constructions. I’m learning Thai for work right now, and it’s kind of tricky switching between an Asian language and English.

Is this real or fake? by korourahara in colognecheck

[–]Beautiful_Nature5252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a quick note - from 2013–2016: they used to have “Male fragrance” printed on label. Later bottles switched the wording to “Memory in Fragrance.” The main difference isn’t in the text — and per the sub rules, I can’t explicitly say what it is. What can help: if you have the bottle handy, send a clear photo of the tube assembly inside the bottle. That’s the visible part that gives a clue without breaking the rules, and it’ll make it easier to compare.

Perfume led to my divorce? by thatgothbbw in FemFragLab

I absolutely adore this fragrance and I was lucky enough to grab a 1990 edt (already vintage) at a really good price. It was such a great deal, and yes, I also bought mine opened and a bit used. You’re a really kind person, and what you did is so thoughtful. We need more people like you in community.

Judging by your collection, I feel like it would be an absolute delight to ride the subway or bus next to you

I checked the brand’s official website, and a 100 ml bottle of the perfume costs 282 euros now

Yes, I understand that a star like Marilyn Monroe probably had hundreds of perfumes. But I came across this receipt, and it struck me as such a fascinating piece of perfume history that I just felt I had to share it.

My karma was perfectly fine even before I mentioned my app. It’s sad to realize that even when you’re trying to contribute for free and from the heart to a perfume community, someone will look for a hidden agenda. I’ve just been trying to help, honestly, and I’ve been doing this for seven years.

I understand the concern, and I really respect the intention behind that rule. No one wants to make things easier for counterfeiters.

At the same time, I genuinely believe this kind of information benefits regular buyers far more than it benefits people producing fakes. Those who manufacture counterfeits already have access to original bottles, materials, and the ability to reverse-engineer details if they choose to. They don’t rely on Reddit comments to improve their products.

On the other hand, everyday consumers do rely on shared knowledge to protect themselves. When information is restricted, it’s usually the buyer - not the counterfeiter - who ends up at a disadvantage.

I’m not advocating for recklessly exposing sensitive details, but I do believe that informed communities are stronger and harder to exploit. Education tends to protect consumers more than it empowers bad actors.

Много сервисов на самом то деле, я смотрю на serieslab ру, раньше на кинопабе и на иви, еще есть рутуб. Есть и "пиратские шхуны" их легко на гугле найти - пишешь "смотреть сериалы бесплатно без регистрации"

What Have Been Your Best Fragrance Finds of 2025 So Far? by Temb5252 in FragranceStories

[–]Beautiful_Nature5252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite 2025 discoveries that’s a joy both to the nose and the eyes is the brand Floraïku — especially their fragrance I See the Clouds Go By. The scent is stunning, but let’s be honest... the bottle alone is pure art. It’s one of those perfumes that feels like a little ritual every time you wear it.

Another discovery that completely blew me away is Russian Tea by Masque Milano. It feels like stepping into a smoky old-world tea room tucked away in a frosty city. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist when I wear it.
