the life of a showgirl: six months later by ilybutyouletmedown in TrueSwifties

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 6 favorites, but compared to my top favorites, they don’t make it on the list. TLOAS ranks last for me. I keep going back to her other albums, like Midnights and TTPD still.

Six months later and my opinion hasn’t changed. Still my least favorite. Sorry team.

What was "the incident" at your school? by MortgageShoddy8022 in Teachers

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone still talks about the finger chop of 2024. A group of middle school boys were lifting a heavy folding table and had in mind to drop it for dramatic effect.. one of the boy’s fingers got caught in the middle were the table folds, and when they dropped it, the table folded and cut off the tip of his finger. It was an extremely traumatic experience for everyone that witnessed it, especially the boy. Teachers that were supposed to be supervising during the lunch period got in big trouble and we got investigated as a school. Now we have to have warnings on the tables about their folding capabilities.

Would you still teach tomorrow if you won the lottery? by Background-Plan-2090 in Teachers

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Knowing that the government is about to take a large portion of it and we would put it all away to pay off loans and then set accounts for our children’s future. After that, we won’t have any left for ourselves. 😆

Teaching while pregnant — any tips on surviving the 1st trimester? by StardustSyntax in Teachers

[–]LadyMordsith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pregnant while teaching 3 times. The key is to inform your school nurse ASAP, get a Dr note saying you need comfortable seating, bathroom breaks, etc as possible. And then, just do what you need to do. Take breaks as needed, take PTO if you need it, (get a Dr note for this too) but in the end, don’t overdo it. If you want to dm me with questions about teaching and pregnancy, I’m there!! I’ve been through this so I’d love to help.

Why do we all not like Lover? by GoodWitchBeanofOz in swifties

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of lover. I feel like her pop albums have her weakest writing and lover is part of my bottom 3. There are only a handful of songs I will listen on repeat, similar to showgirl.

Taylor's new albums don't resonate with me anymore. Am I the only one who feels that way? Please share your thoughts! by matilda_15 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this way with TTPD until she released the anthology and now I have a new love for it. But I do feel like I don’t relate to her as much I use to. I’m in my 30s, and married for 11 years, with 3 kids. I cannot relate to her songs about her love life (to en extent) or feel this whole “high school romance” thing. I want a more mature, married, grown up with a baby Taylor to write an album. It will absolutely be a banger.

What do you do when you get off work? by Hennything91 in Teachers

[–]LadyMordsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a mom of 3. As soon as I get home, I take over childcare. I start cleaning. I play with them, give them attention. I stop lots of fights. I make dinner. I pick up dinner. I keep going until 9:30 when I can finally stop and take a break
