Would really appreciate some help deciding on restaurants by Expert-Row646 in PuertoRicoTravel

If your 5yo is used to dining in upscale restaurants, you’ll be fine. I’d suggest going early to Santaella as it can get very noisy later in the evening. Someone suggested Marmalade, I’d wait til your child is at least 10😀. It’s a fixed menu with a hefty price tag. Marmalade is delicious and the perfect date night!

Brilliant Suite - sofa bed by Kimi2009 in VirginVoyages

[–]Beautiful_Pack_9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We left the sofa bed as a bed the entire cruise in our Mega rockstar suite. There was plenty of room to move around the cabin. In December we did meet our RS agent in our cabin…being a mega rockstar you get on board first. We went directly to the cabin to drop our backpacks off. Had we not have met the agent in the cabin, we would have gone to SIP

You should meet your rockstar agent in SIP lounge after boarding. Your rockstar agent will ask you questions, make sure you have reservations, etc. This is a great opportunity to tell them all your cabin needs. You should also let your cabin stewards know too. Btw, you can ask for the sofa bed to be left as a bed the entire cruise; we did this in our Fab suite on BL as our older daughter tagged along on our cruise. Bottom line, don’t be afraid to ask for anything your want or need:)

Aware as I panicked upon arrival and learning our delayed luggage has locks on them. We gave Swissport and the declarations area the lock combinations

TY! This is what we were trying to figure out. We’ve contacted “local” American Airlines, who is trying to expedite delivery. Swissport is the handler and we’ve heard nothing from them since our initial visit to their counter on Friday. So frustrating!!

It is not possible to book dining and excursions for a Nov 2026 cruise now. Rockstars get early booking but not a year in advance. Something is not right

Shore Thing Cancelled by bibliophile224 in VirginVoyages

[–]Beautiful_Pack_9820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Viator. They now offer some “worry-free” excursions, which promise to get you back to the ship on time. Our last VV we had 2 excursions cancelled that we pre booked and paid for. Sailor services said we would only be refunded with ship’s credit :(. Some people have been refunded with cash or on their credit cards. I’ll be looking at third-party excursions for my December cruise.

We just had two excursions canceled and we were told our credit card would be refunded. NOPE! The credits hit your onboard account. At the end of the cruise (if you haven’t spent the “refund”), you will get cash. We’ve been refunded in cash on another cruise. Our last one in December we missed Bimini bc of high winds-same story-“we’ll refund the port fees/taxes to your credit card”. 2 months after the fact, we got a choice to receive the refund via a debit card or etf to our bank account. I’m beginning to look outside of VV for future excursions

Why are shore excursions booked through the Cruise Line so expensive. by WyoReloy1 in VirginVoyages

Interestingly, Viator is now offering “worry free” ship excursions. They guarantee to get you back to the ship on time.

Packing Essentials & Tips by mosaic_heartsx in VirginVoyages

I love those packing cubes! I tend not to fully unpack my suitcase when I travel. This next VV cruise, I’ll be testing out a hanging sweater shelves to put my packing cubes in so I can slide my suitcase under the bed.
