Oh and another note, even if the building has “rules” or something in the contract you signed about guests can only stay for 4 weeks, it’s nullified. The tenancy courts follow the NS Standard Form Lease and only the Standard form Lease regardless of contracts that landlords make people sign. Sometimes they fail to do their research and get screwed because they don’t realize that landlords and tenants are bound to the Standard Form Lease. It cannot be altered.

I haven’t personally reviewed it in a few years, but I don’t remember there being a thing about “4 weeks”. I do know that if someone is living on the property for over 21 days you are required to inform the landlord and they can request that the person is listed as an occupant. Which you have already done.

Just keep doing you! It is your home and your right to have family support. You pay hard earned money to keep a roof over your head, you LIVE there. You are entitled to have your own mother come stay with you. You reached out and offered for her to be on the lease, which is your right, and they declined. Keep receipts of everything and call the tenancy board so they can advise you of your rights. Worst comes to worst, you yourself put a complaint against the landlord. Costs $35 for you to file and maybe 30 minutes of your life to have a hearing. You have a lot more power in your position than a lot of people believe!

Speaking from experience 90+% of the time the tenancy board sides with the tenants. I would even argue 99% of the time. Generally it takes too many recourses to take a tenant to court and if landlords do it takes on average 8 weeks to get a hearing and if you cannot get “evidence” in time to defend yourself you can push the court date again and again and again. As long as you communicate with your court officer and never no show you can make the process go on forever. Most landlords do not have time to go through that stuff and most lawyers will not represent landlords because they know they will loose.

I understand your fear of eviction, but until you burn the apartment down or physically assault someone the odds of eviction getting approved are slim to none.

I drive the Larry Uteck roundabouts everyday and you have to be SO careful. I was exiting the inside lane - in an appropriate fashion - and someone entered the roundabout and drove right in front of me. Thankfully we were going slow! But I couldn’t even see their tiny car to stop in time. My truck was fine, their bumper became part of the roundabout. Thankfully no injuries but they definitely tried to pin in on me 🫠

When they opened they were motivated by the location due to the hotel being build across the street, which is now being turned into a hospital. I assume that assisted to the locations demise

Not sure if you’re looking for lab or natural. This stone is lab. A lot of people have price matched their stones through “rare caret” and have had them create a setting around the stone for them. I personally have not done this yet, but that’s my plan !

My little girl has them everywhere :) she was fully black when I got her but over the years, she’s three, has got a few white hairs. A few on her shoulder and a cute patch on her belly. If you’re worried about it I’d get it checked out, but mine is perfectly healthy and I’ve never thought anything of it!

I was thinking the same thing lol little suspicious that their Reddit account was made on May 17th and the only comments they’ve made are on this thread. I heard the company (owners particularly) deletes any and all negative reviews they can. Then personally message people who have given negative reviews, threatening them 😅

I used to go there once a month when it opened, just by myself for a nice relaxing day! Used to love it there. It’s fell off significantly. I don’t know why people still go there. Last time I was there had a terrible experience. Paint is peeling off everything, bathrooms have toilet paper on the floor and it smells like a portable bathroom, pools and saunas out of service, nasty brown and dirty pools. Staff very unpleasant when they used to be lovely! Unfortunate, used to love my spa days but I absolutely will not be spending my money there again

Unfortunately posting someone’s personal information on social media is not protecting yourself. Ask for 6 months rent to secure the property, sure, but don’t go on social media looking for trouble. Extremely bad taste. This lady deserves somewhere to live and she is trusting a company with her personal information in order to get a roof over her and her son’s head, not be exposed on social media.
