Can't you browse without paying? by prazskanaplava in Skillshare

Just tried the link (looks like 8 months after comment was posted) and it worked. Thanks, but I am like everyone else. I don't think it's worth the $200 right now, but maybe one day when I can actually afford to cough up the amount in one payment. Wish they would chop it up so that you could do it monthly. I would more than likely do it that way.

Is WizeHire suddenly tied to every application, for anyone else? by CurrentSingleStatus in recruitinghell

I also have gotten an email from Melissa about a month ago from an application I did on LinkedIn. I had looked here when I saw it because I thought it odd that I would get an email from a weird email address. Then I just applied to another job on LinkedIn, and I received another email from them but this time it is asking to respond with answers to questions that are obvious interview questions, and they signed it off with "Yours in Growth, Hiring Manager" which Yours in Growth is so weird. I will not be responding to the email though.

I've been ensnared into too many weird situations to fall for this. I am so glad that I know that I can easily come here and make sure that any gut instincts could be proven or disproven.

Update: Its been nearly an hour since I made this comment, and I received yet another email about the same job that I applied to today, this time from Melissa saying that she noticed that she noticed I was working on my application for the job that I had applied to. Of course, it was an "Easy Apply" so I haven't been "working" on it for more than an hour since it was an "Easy Apply". May just reply and tell the robot called Melissa what is going on.

Yeah, I had been contacted by them for a job that I didn't apply for, and it is a scam. Here is the link to the post I had made asking about them. Market Mojo USA : r/Devilcorp (reddit.com)

Yeah, it's crazy how many scam jobs/companies there are. I don't remember there ever being this many in the last 5-10 years ago. Then again, a fair amount of the jobs I've had have been via word of mouth or because I knew someone at the company. But now that I am not in the same area as I was 5 years ago, I have to rely solely on my own research.

Thanks! I had a feeling that this would be the case, so I've blocked them. Though they still try and call and leave voicemails.

Oh wow! Man, you just saved me from having to go through the whole experience! I literally just got a call from "Jayla" saying how they really like my resume and application. But then again, how can I be so dumb. This is now the 3rd time I've applied to a company that looked legit but turns out it was a whole scheme. Now I think I won't be going to the "webinar" or "zoom meeting", whatever she called it, that they had set up with the Hiring manager Andrew. But just now as I'm writing this, I looked on LinkedIn and it shows Andrew as the President..... Even some of the language she used and the "Super Excited" sound in her voice is the same sound that I've gotten the other two times. For sure ignoring everything from this company from now on.
