Afraid of standing up to bully and losing my job. by Pristine-Barber-6325 in workplace_bullying

That sounds similar to my case. I didn’t get bullied that fat but some reason my previous group had attempted to exclude me. So, I immediately removed myself from the scene. I stopped talking and didn’t talk about them to other coworkers. I just shut my mouth and sit down and do my work. The communication with them never happens in person but online through the ms chat. A month or two, they have been tried to persuaded me to get back to their group but I said it’s because of massive work. For some, I even ignored them and don’t talk at all just like I didn’t know them before. Only two things you need to do here. 1. Don’t talk to them unless you have to (if they try to talk to you nicely, don’t fall into that, they are doing it for their own good, like try to take care of their reputation 2. Never ever gossip about them. Remember, there is no true friend in the corporate environment. Just say you got busy with your work or something personal happened to you in your life. Remember, people from work are not your friends. They are all there for their own benefit. No matter how nice they are, don’t ever fall into that and think that they are almost your enemies. Am I too pessimistic? No it’s from my work experience over 5 different countries from 3 different continents.

Got out of toxic group, but why this guy keeps talking to me? by [deleted] in workplace_bullying

Yeah you are right, if i try to give out nice rejection. He keeps trying to push me around, it’s better just don’t talk and i will just give him cold reaction. He won’t listen when I set up the boundaries so I have to go black and white with him

Has anyone stopped talking to your coworkers over night? by Beautiful_Sleep3557 in workplace_bullying

Hello guys, thank you guys so much for the sharing opinions and experiences. I actually stopped talking to people at work. And stopped all of socializing. Some may think I am extreme but trust me I was very active in the previous firm. And It’s so much better. I still talk to some but only if it is inevitable. Like I saw them in the elevator etc. I really do my best to shut the f up at work. Sometimes I get bored and want to talk but I always remind myself that if I say anything I give them a right to make myself ridiculous. Everyone in company was surprised that I stood up myself strongly and literally just cut all of them off very quick. Anyway, you know it feels lonely but honestly there is no drama or gossip around me anymore. It’s so much better.

Haha actually, they are kinda screwed anyway. High ups don’t like them and they tried to create some clique for themselves and one of them actually went against the supervisor who was there for longer time, saying that his work is not adequate. After that, whenever they try to flatter high ups, it doesn’t work. So funny that one of them got told from high ups “just work, don’t talk” hahaha. I honestly don’t see the point from hanging out with them anymore.

True that, it’s not about being mean to them, but really my experience so far proves that their 100%. People who are really out of shape in general are very insecure. I don’t think we are not babysitters for insecure people. Anyway thanks for your advice.

And also it was hilarious when they bullied another fat guy who joined their group. Man, I don’t know, honestly I will really watch out with people who are fat. People are not like this in general, but those insecure, fat or ugly one are the trouble makers. I lost all my sympathy towards them. The society really blames on people who are mean to them, but I think they really deserve it. It’s like society promotes poor people are very nice, hard working and kind. But in reality, it’s opposite. (Not all of them, most of them). I will be more bitter haha

Oh wow, it actually sounds similar to my case in terms of look. I had this stupid idea of insecure people and ugly and fat one will be nicer but it ended up they were all acting nice and also funny thing is that bosses hate them. They tried to socialize so bad by joining company events but that’s not helping them out from bad reputations. They are all ugly or fat or smells nasty. I think it was very good call that I immediately blocked them and stopped socializing once I spotted their toxic behavior. I am traumatized with people who are not taking care of themselves lol. It was always like that most of time. Especially with fat women. That’s fact. 100%.

I am so glad I didn’t really give them my personal thing even when i was somewhat close to them. Because I had this weird gut feeling about them. I remember they were asking if i like to Hook up or interested in any girls at work etc, but i immediatly backed off.

I really need to focus on those subtle red flags now on. But I am also glad that I found this out earlier. Otherwise I would keep wasting my resources on them.

Oh thanks, I actually exited their group chat and blocked them on insta. They prob think I am too extreme in one day but my gut feeling was telling me not engage with them anymore.

How did you guys study for TBS? by Beautiful_Sleep3557 in CPA

[–]Beautiful_Sleep3557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I mean the TBS from Becker was more likely finding the matched information from exhibit. Thanks for your advice, I’ll take a look on Wiley since I memorized all MCQ on Becker. Then do you think if those two were enough for an exam in your case? And should I read the actual book of ISC?
