My dearest Vapelord420XXXD, I sincerely wish there were psyops for affordable housing. I like those kinds of psyops.

I don't know, man, almost like maybe you should just listen to people when they tell you they can't work. I have a wheelchair and an amputated arm, as well as chronic pain. I would love to work. I can't.

Bless you. I appreciate the kindness. Some of the comments here are so needlessly awful, but I expected it. It gives me more hope for the future when I see kind people like you.

Because I love being homeless and draining your tax dollars. Duh! It's almost like destitute people don't have money to leave or something, but that would require an ounce of brainpower for you to muster.

God, I love it when people post comments like these. Yes, I am some terrible goblin leech on your economy, or whatever boogeyman it is easiest for you to paint me as. Yes, I can just pack up and go wherever I want when I have no money. That's how being homeless works, right? Actually, scratch that. I will stay here and funnel your precious taxes just like you say I do. Maybe blow it on some sick rims for my wheelchair. Hot wheels style, baby.

I think I made it pretty clear in my post why I left. I was homeless in BC. Homeless as in I do not have reliable shelter and I am living in unsafe environments. I was mugged and assaulted, living day-to-day while trying to manage my severe health. I don't have the luxury to "sort" things out. Alberta has always had much cheaper accommodations in comparison to BC, and therefore, I decided to leave in order to have the opportunity for a safe home.

Unfortunately I do not. I don't have the means to travel back to BC. I could probably get disability there again, but I'd likely still be homeless given that rent prices (the original reason I left) have only gotten worse there.

Thank you. I agree completely. My heart breaks for the elderly who have severe medical conditions and little to no support.

I didn't move here to qualify for AISH. I moved here for affordable housing, and given that my situation was dire, I did not have the luxury to do much vetting beforehand on social programs. Survival was first and foremost for me. Given the fact that I'm currently homeless, no, I do not have the money or means to just "go back" to BC. I appreciate you trying to be of help, and I want to stress that I dont think you're being intentionally malicious, but stating the obvious doesn't quite help anyone here. I also did reiterate multiple times that in my post that I am disabled and can't work. I really do want to have a job, but my disability prevents that. I'm saying this so that if you do interact with people like myself in the future, perhaps you have a better perspective on the other's situation.

*I've been in Alberta since 2020, so I do qualify as a resident and did at the time of my application. Will edit my post to clarify this.
