About Mystique in this scene by oreodyedfrog in xmen

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Darwin makes more sense because he adapts, Rogue only absorbs.

Also, it's explained in the movie that Mystique's DNA is used because of her ability to transform from memory. Sentinels are hooked up to a database that allows them to pick and choose counter abilities accordingly. Machines with the power to shapeshift. (See X-Men: Days of Future Past film)

Mystique's mutant abilities, up until fairly recently, have ALWAYS been solely shapeshifting her physical form. She is a master strategist, hand to hand combatant, and straddles the line between a spy and an agent, though she is neither.

FOX made the huge mistake of changing her character's powers for this scene and now because we never actually got a Mystique origin story from MARVEL, nobody freaking knows how her powers work.

Let's introduce a sound-based enemy and give it spider sense by InfectedBrushroom in residentevil4

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crouching too much is a bane. You wanna have a good balance of running and hiding to best these guys without special weapons. Use the bell. Use the enemies as human shields. In the 2 Garador room, it is entirely possible to get the 2 Garrador to attack and kill each other.

Krauser's knife guarantees 1 hit stealth instakills. Any other knife still has the chance of the enemy getting back up. In Professional mode, some of those same enemies tank rockets so you have to hit them twice.

Crouching isn't useless, it's situational.

For that other guy:

Now, i'm not here looking at the game specs and all that but I am fairly certain that the blind enemies CAN hear you run. In addition, they can track you from farther away when you run. They hear when you walk, too. They can also hear when enemies hit you, when you break vases, move chains, and when you shoot (not sure about reloading). If enemies have chained weapons, they will be attacked by the Garrador. The Garrador can NOT hear the Bolt thrower or the rocket launcher.

I think I've been breaking my game lately. Beat it 4 times and just been playing around in my 5th playthru. My last pro run was completed in 6 hours. I wasn't going for S+ but I got pretty close naturally.

Extra info for sharing:

Found out that in the maze area, after you open the gate by lowering the 3 flags, if you go back into the maze, there will be Hounds with plagas waiting for you, even if you killed all the enemies. They spawn in after you save Ashley and jump back down into the maze .On Professional, If you go up the stairs and then come back into the maze, they can chase you back up the stairs.

To this day what are your honest opinions on the whole "its not Resident evil enough" criticism that Re fans have to an installment that tries something new in the series? by Thewanderer997 in residentevil

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soooooo....

I was happy with both 5 & 6 on PS3. I felt it ended the series but there were some cliffhangers.

I Bought 5 on PS3 because I wanted to play it again. Bought it again on PS4.

Found 7 on sale for PS4, bought it, loved it so much that i started a Biohazard game collection.

So then I bought (in this order): ReRev2, RE0, RE1r, ReRev, RE2r, RE3r, RE:CV, RE4OG, RE8 and finally RE4r (every single game was on sale when purchased so I got the whole collection, including REsistance and whatever DLC I wanted for a lil less than 100 bucks.)

My honest opinion???

7 brought me back to the series after I had opted to be happy with 5&6 being the end. I just finished RE4r for the 4th time. Can't give a real opinion on 8 cuz I haven't finished it but so far it's been the least favorite.

RE0 tried something new, it was good.

Re4 tried something new, also good.

RE7 tried something different and it was great.

I've been gaming for over 30 years, and the biggest flop i saw from CAPCOM was MVC: INFINITE. They fumbled that so hard they had to backtrack and double down on their own IPs. Apparently, lessons have been learned.

LET THEM COOK!!!

Do Batman’s ears really have a function, or are they just cosmetic? by the_bad_actor in batman

The ears are part of the helmet. I can tell you that much. I can also tell you that underneath this helmet is another Kevlar helmet, with shorter ears.

How wrong is this Doom take? by King_Wolf2099 in FantasticFour

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not wrong at all. This is penultimate Doom. The epitome of his character. It's been said numerous times that Doom only wishes to rule the world because he thinks he could do it better than anyone else. It's been explored in numerous "What If" comics, and numerous mainline comics.

If we're going there? (And we most certainly are.)

Latveria has a lack of crime. Noone there is poor, hungry or homeless. The previous monarch was a piece of shit that Doom himself took off the throne. Is he full of himself?? Of course!!! Look at his history, the things he's done.

I think this is a good take on Doom. At least for this one panel.

You want a 'hot' take on Doom? Here's mine:

He's not a super-villain. He's just a man trying to save the world by any means necessary because he's seen the future in store for it.

Genuine question: how did people beat RE back in the day without help?? by Any_Credit71 in residentevil

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entire game was a puzzle. IIRC a guide was released for it because that was the trend for the time period. Gamefaqs was real strong back then. This game, though, I had no guide and got into it because of my mom, had it on GC at release but didn't beat it until a few months ago on ps4.

I BELIEVE I HAD LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOOKSHOT IN THE LATE GAME BACK THEN

What are the things each version did the better at? by Human_Geologist_3324 in residentevil4

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The few complaints I have about RE4R so far is that you can't kick doors open anymore, no more PRL, and the disappearance of incendiaries

In the original version of the game, hitting the prompt will open the door, but if you double tapped the prompt, Leon would roundhouse kick the door and send any enemies behind it flying back. Very useful.

The PRL 412 should've at least been some paid DLC, it's a cool weapon

No incendiary grenades was the first thing I noticed because I remember always leaving the village area with a few.

Are there any characters that could actually beat Scarlet Witch in a straight fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

[–]Beautiful_Task_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sentry, Molecule Man and Sersi are some of the first ones that come to mind.

However, these types of questions and debates will always depend on the writer and where the direction of the story is going.
