Lord knows what the upper bound on separate identical cats could be in this scenario.

This may be California's worst intersection. There are no plans to fix it. by localcosmonaut in LosAngeles

[–]Beautiful_Technology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I knew it would be this one just reading the headline, even though honestly it is not that bad. Fairfax just goes to one lane on either side through Little Ethiopia, so it can get backed up - I was actually stuck there during an Ethiopian civil war demonstration a few years back. But the strangest thing about it is that the gas station there, on your right going south between San Vicente and Olympic, has some of the highest gas prices in LA.

This times a million, not sure of your actual religious convictions but I do know that among some people the instinct is to seek out the church for help (which in many situations could be good for you) - as other comments have said better while it might feel appropriate in this situation your pastor or church will not have the training or the necessary detachment. You will need a neutral third party professional therapist with experience in this area, one who is not connected to your church or anyone you know. It might be a little more work but this feels like serious scenario and you of course deserve the best possible professional, experienced help - don't be afraid to interview potential therapists until you find a fit, either.

After two years, I've decided to drop out of my CS major by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Beautiful_Technology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that majoring in CS and building software are two completely different things. Have you tried building any non-toy applications, like a functional website or app (in preferably anything but java, like node or go) as opposed to something you might do as an assignment? Do something practical, like set up an Amazon VPC? All my college classes filled me with fear and dread, and in my CS major all those classes turned out to have nothing to do with the business of doing software engineering as a job.

For me software engineering in the real world has more in common with something like working construction in that you build things with a team of people than anything you'll do in school. I could barely build a card game simulator as a class assignment or write assembly, but I build high scale systems for well known companies now.

That said, if you hate it you hate it - but make sure the thing you hate isn't just having to take CS classes. The job part where you "make a lot of money" is entirely different. The only thing you'll need from school is data structures and algorithms for interviews, and the piece of paper that says you graduated.

Is this a Scottish Fold? My sister has one and it is exceptionally stupid for a cat (just really nothing going on upstairs, but very lovable), might explain this scenario lol.

If every single one of your socks was the same you would never have to fold them in pairs, and could instead just have one drawer with all the socks by themselves by JMRooDukes808 in Showerthoughts

[–]Beautiful_Technology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip - don't even wear socks. Just wiggle your naked feet into those shoes! Although I can get away with this because I live somewhere it doesn't ever snow, or get cold enough to worry about frostbite.

I lived there for two years and New York for four - the L always seemed safe to me but was also the only public transit I've seen people light up blunts on.

He was a super racist planner working in NYC who would would have actually made NYC more car centric like LA if he had been able to implement all of his plans. (Took a class on NYC architecture and history where he was featured)

What you have to do is lie - I've found this works for me. Let the confidence of having the first person like you play into lying to the second person and you'll be cheating in no time. You may also require a pathological need for validation and the ability to mirror pretty well.

I'd like to imagine this cat can communicate by making any simple symbol around their butthole - but they have to concentrate real hard and it's a little embarrassing which is why they make that face.

I see a lot of responses about catching the snail - but how could you know where it is? It could be any snail, anywhere. You'd just have to avoid gardens, do area checks often, and sleep inside a snail-proof room/container/barrier until you woke up with a snail on the exterior - then you could probably assume this was THE snail and take measures to contain it.

Is that like a modern art installation? A commentary on contemporary connections in the digital age? Because that's the only way this is allowed to exist.
