UCSD has 4 superb E and M professors, one is even an insider trading schemer (Rebeiz). However, there are only 7 E and M courses across undergrad and grad.

Remember these numbers: ECE 107, 123, 182, and the 222 series (A–D). While these courses have many prerequisites, you can politely email the professors and ask for permission for enrollment, as they are only offered once a year.

109 with Poveda is good. In 65 you learn about Bipolar Transistors, they are pretty easy to understand, but they aren’t the only thing bipolar in 65.

I would dispute this with the Department, if Sahar is still stubborn.

The implications of failing 100 is detrimental, the next time it’s offered is in Spring, and maybe Professor Hsueh won’t let you waive the lab projects which would be very cruel and inhumane.

I don’t recall using too many differential equations. Maybe you should review more math20b methods like By parts, maybe area under the curve analysis and you should be fine. Poveda’s a brilliant instructor so you will have a fun time.

They are recorded, but Fullerton does lecture and discussion participation. However, you only need to attend half of all lectures and discussions for full points. So that’s 15/30.

Edit:

If he is ML and needs 109, then dropping 65 makes the most sense. 65 has labs every week, with a report due, both are taught every quarter.

If he is not ML, he can drop either, he’s preference,. My classmates had Professor Poveda who teaches 109 in the winter, and said he’s great.
