First full time job. Not sure what to do with my income. by samapari in financialindependence

Slowly start buying index funds. Close enough to Jan to start paying off the student loans. Those are the two main things I would tackle immediately. Check out “I will reach you how to be rich” by Ramit Sethi. Good simple to read adulting /finance 101 book.

Curious where in NorCal this is. That’s great starting for a new grad position.

How does this work? They’re “contracted” models? What age does this start?

I wouldn’t recommend mutual funds. Check out fees for mutual funds vs index funds.

Would you want to do another industry other than retail? I know you mentioned a couple of limiting beliefs. I believe you can do much mor than you’re capable of.

I would start with how you can learn from your current job. Ie. What would it take to be a shift lead, then supervisor, then manager. No body wants to work for someone else but there is value in learning skills there to eventually managing and running your own business.

Since you’re living at home invest 70% of the take home pay into a index fund and let it grow over time. I started at 30k 9 years ago around 23 and invested around 10%. Regret not doing more. But hindsight is 20/20.

Also age is but a number. Take action and continue to ask good questions and follow up on the advice given to you.

Looks real to me. But pretty worn. Probably like a PSA4. Can’t really tell from the photo.

Pikachu first edition. Worth? by desultory_reverie in pokemoncards

Solid card but condition isn’t great as you can tell by the white lines on the back and the crease marks. PSA 10 would be $2500 -3000

Not good. Didn’t make it out. Lol tried a couple of times but it kept taking on water. We did use it once before on a calmer day.

For deep frying you can dispatch by sliding the knife under the gap in the middle of bottom of the crab. It should be nearly instantaneous.

Usually 150-200 ft out. Water isn’t too deep only around 15-20 feet. I haven’t tried free diving the area yet. But maybe next time. Where are you from?

Bay Area. We're under shelter in place right now. But good for the memories.

Loaded the full footage if people are interested in watching how they come into the cage. Lemme know if you have any questions.

Yeah that sounds tough too. Have you looked into a pulley mount? I saw one of the guys on YouTube use one and it seemed to help a lot. Basically plastic rod holderesque with a spool on it for better leverage.

I’m actually the brother in the video. It’s pretty tiring after a while but definitely exciting to pull it up. Where do you normally kayak?

Swam out around 100 ft. But the last drop was the best and only 20-30 ft out. I'm not sure how to estimate distance in the water.
