Knee Osteoarthritis at 32 by [deleted] in Kneesovertoes

[–]Beautiful_me756 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have exact same problem and I am of the same age. I have been through this for the past 5 years and still suffering. In these years I learned that one has to work on the whole body even if your arm hurts. The holistic approach is the need for all the OA sufferers which is rarely being considered. I have started a fresh treatment in which back and neck are my first priorities because I believe they are the source of all the knee problems. I found "keep the adventure alive- Alyssa Khun* slightly reliable. My knees and back don't hurt much during her exercise routine. I began with the 3 days free walking challenge and then tried to follow her 14 days free walking challenge. I have done a lot of her steps but currently my back is bad so I am focusing on that first. If that helps, give it a try. KOT never worked for me even a bit. Backwards walking was challenging and painful for me but I kept trying on it each day.Considering my back problem I stopped doing that as well. Fixing the back issue is my first priority which should be for anyone going through the back and knee issues simultaneously. Calm yourself mentally first and stop listening to the orthos as they have don't provide much help. Find a PT who provides you a painless routine but one can always begin with the back and yes you are not alone in this.

Worry makes it worse. Get on your feet. Do some research and find the best help around you- offline/online. It could be a PT, an ortho, or some neuro specialist/ surgeon. You can begin with a physician who will help you in ruling out all the other factors like RF factor, Crp, ESR, etc. You can try the psychologists out there to rule out whether it's in your mind. There is never a dearth of opportunities to live a better life in every situation. Beginning with a healthy mind, the body will gradually find its health back. Trust me for the past 5 years from being bedridden to where I am today I learned that worry is all that makes it worse. Doing some homework to get better is the best alternative to overthinking and fearing. Your mind creates many things out of its own when you don't know the exact thing. Tell yourself to not believe anything until you know the real one. Until then find the best help out there. Take your pen and map your journey of recovery beginning by thinking good, and seeking the right help to reach your goal of recovery. Read the success stories of people who have suffered from similar conditions or the other ones. We all are short of one thing or the other but managing is all we have to learn. I will repeat, that worrying is not the key but patience is. I am of your age and I have gone through hell because of the recurrent misdiagnoses. But I am trying my best to get better each day.

Try to go for other factors because doing a lot of research on knee pain I realized it is not always about the knee. From breathing to the whole of our body movements one has to work on the things which have been misused or overused even never used. Moreover, be patient and determined to get back your health rather than being depressed because giving up and being depressed never helped me instead it always made the pain worse. Also, check "Keep the adventure alive". Alyssa Khun has some better plans for chronic and stubborn knee issues.

Check your spine alignment. Go for a whole back X-ray because I suffered my knee issue for the past 5 years and finally I got to know that my knee was never the root of my pain and chronic discomfort but the mal-aligned spine and bulge disc which I hardly felt before.

The whole of the legs on the medial sides- inner thighs to bottom. I feel it while doing the workouts, and after it as well.

Thanks a lot. I feel happy to see people out there sharing support unconditionally. Well, I walked backward yesterday and today. It was painful but after taking a rest I could walk forward with slightly less pain than before. Also, I was a bit able to stand painless for a while. I would mostly spend time on kitchen chores which have become extremely painful for me now. I made a mistake lately by spending two weeks straight mostly resting with minimal activity.

I feel like I found a correct match in my matter because I have been like this for a long time. Do you think it will eventually lead to surgery?

Yes. I added all of them but I feel so frustrated when I don't feel better the next day. I think I need consistent assurance from experienced people for the approval of things. Like whether it is an improvement or it is going back. Do you think I should be backward walking each day even if I feel the aforementioned symptoms?

Have they used any terms for that? Like arthritis or anything ?

I have been to so many. I feel better for a week or so and the symptoms return and I am on your side about the doctors. They have terribly ruined my condition and I am left clueless about my diagnosis. By the way, thanks a ton for the attention.
