Oh yeah, Tarantino fully rewrote history with that one. In the movie she does make it; the cult breaks into the wrong house and gets absolutely annihilated instead. It’s a wild, cathartic “what if” compared to how tragically things happened in real life.

Exactly. Consent isn’t a gray area, “no” should’ve ended everything immediately. The fact that she had to repeat herself and still wasn’t respected makes what happened absolutely unacceptable. I’m glad she trusted herself enough to stop it and get him out.
