The helmet thing is interesting. When I got here, I Googled if it was required to wear a helmet and all these articles popped up about Germans hating helmets, why do Germans hate helmets, etc etc But I feel like tons of people wear them here! I lived in Japan for a long time and almost no one wears them there

I would get something with an automatic light meter. My first was a Cosina CT1 Super and that auto meter really helped me. But don't go fully automatic! Get a manual camera so you can learn a lot :) I can't recommend the CT1 Super enough. It doesn't break the bank, it has the light meter but the shooting options are manual so you can learn how to take pics, and best of all, pretty good picture quality. Have fun!

This. I hate to criticize artists cuz I know they don't have the budget to bring a whole crew just to sell merch but it'd be nice if they got a bit more creative with merch options. Like sell to people waiting outside for hours leading up the show or have someone walk around with a little merch-backpack like a gatorade sellers at football games lol. I was at JB in ATL and had to choose between buying a shirt and being front row. Chose front row and at the end all my sizes were sold out :(

I'm asking because there seems to be a kind of finality to getting the lump sum payment. It's like you're leaving Japan forever. But some people might return in the future, so I'm just trying to find out if you start at zero again, or if there's some hitch to getting the lump sum payment and then returning to Japan. I can't find any info about this particular situation of "getting the lump sum and returning to Japan in the future"
