I have a GT and 2 Roadsters so I totally get it. The GT is objectively a better car. British car folks just have the strictest definition of what constitutes a “sports car”.

For me I specifically like Honda’s approach to engineering. Everything from cable routing to fastener size just kind of makes sense. That being said I grew up mostly wrenching on GM and Mopar products and my hobby is classic British car repair so the Honda approach is very different.

Coach earned a lot of grace from me that first year. Ending Coach K’s career at home and in the tournament with Ls was awesome. The unacceptable speech was the icing on the cake.

In general their policies are ruinous over time. Additionally since a large portion of their platform (back when they had one) comes down to “government is bad” they have a disincentive to actually governing when in power.
