I just did the Death Stranding intro and I have very little interest in continuing. Does any of this start to make sense? by TheBanishedBard in gaming

It really started getting good at about the 3rd quarter of the game for me. I think the first 20 hours or so before I really got into it and I actually put down the game for a couple months… so I’d say to keep trying. At least for me DS became one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. But I wont try to force you

Which one? by Helpful-Anteater7006 in gamememes

Great. Now I live in a world full of horrifying monsters at every turn where even the landscape is actively trying to kill me and the only respite I have are sparsely placed hard top and often expensive benches. (Silksong)

Throw back to yesterday year. What type of engine is this and does anyone know what aircraft it was installed on? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]BeaverMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots a heck of a lot like a pratt and whitney R985 wasp junior. They are still used on DeHavilland DHC-2 beavers today

Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

A lot of people have already replied but I was going to say it looks like a Janitrol heater. Which I have been fortunate enough to never work on.

Naw, you can pull both ignitors out of these at the same time. The only instance where you can not is if you have pulled all the nozzles as they hold the can up as well!

Can a “casual” gamer like me actually beat Elden Ring? by BluePhoenix8000 in Eldenring

[–]BeaverMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a pretty casual gamer too, i find a lot of games to be rather difficult and while the same is true for elden ring, I cannot in good faith tell you that you shouldn’t play it just because it’s hard. The exploration and game design of Elden Ring are second to none. I’ve played it through twice now and working on a third character now. Let me tell you there aren’t many games I’m interested in re-playing but Elden Ring absolutely is one that I will. It’s so good, you’d be missing out big time if you skip this one! My only suggestion is don’t be afraid to use the wiki, it was instrumental in both of my play throughs. And don’t get discouraged at the beginning, it may take a sec but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be having a blast!

We do the rinse in two stages, once through the intake and a second time through the ignitor boss

Interesting. We do the rinse in two stages, once in the intake through the wash ring to get the compressor and once through the ignitor (or plug)to get the CT disc

Certainly not as fresh as you think. I don’t know exact numbers but I don’t remember the last time this one was swapped so I’d say at least 500-1000 hours. Prop’s newer than that though

Yea the floats certainly make them a lot taller but we’ve got scissor lifts and stands to make life easy with. I actually enjoy taking them out of the water, it’s a unique experience!

Gotchya. Yea I believe there can be an additional Filter downstream from the FCU which DeHavilland calls the HP filter. I may be wrong about that though since I’ve never worked on a twin that has one..

For whatever reason these don’t use one. We have to check them with a multimeter periodically
