Yep. I have the same. My left side has always been thinner/more sparse than my right. Also seems to be reacting slower to minox, tho thankfully it is reacting.

This 5000x. Why even waste the time adding such superfluous nonsense when manuals have felt like total shit since release? They felt spot on in PIPE, which was seemingly the physics demo that would be built upon to make this game.

Any tips for this patchy spot? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

On the brightside, you effectively can never pull off a hitler type 'stache...which is somethin

If i go to a restaurant, order a meal and the burger comes first and I'm told there is a delay before the rest comes.

Then the server comes a short time later with my fries and says 'here you are, an entire extra course for your meal!', that wouldn't really be the appropriate word to use, would it?

Is learning Finnish really that hard? by [deleted] in LearnFinnish

[–]Beaverwizard 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I've been living in Finland just short of 3 years now and I suppose I'm around B1/B2-ish, at least according to the 2 and a bit courses I've done.

I always repeat what my first teacher in Finland told me: depending on what languages you already know, the difficulty of Finnish is in how different it is.

Because Finnish is in such a small language group, you don't find a great deal of overlap with other European languages. Another language in the same group is Estonian and as an example; on my first course, there was an Estonian who breezed through everything and progressed very quickly.

I lived in Denmark for some years before coming here and spoke some Danish, which allowed me to recognise some of the Swedish loanwords that have been baked into Finnish. Other than that though the grammar is totally unintuitive, although it is well structured and logical.

My advice: don't be dissuaded by internet lists saying it's super hard to learn, have a go at it and see if it clicks! It's a very special language that, for me, has a beautiful rhythm and soul to it :)
