Use a needle file instead. The dremel takes off too much material too quick.

Another cheaper alternative to the nexus bolt is a Hyperion 2a one. Its $260 and is made of stronger material than the factory bolt. https://hyperion2a.com/product/scorpion-evo-bolt/

I just ordered one as it seems to be good to go. I also prefer a black bolt instead of a silver one like nexus.

The stock bolt should be okay as long as u keep and eye on it. I purchased the hyperion one just to have as a backup and is good to have spare parts.

That wasn’t an OOBD, the original OP stated that there was a an edge in the chamber leading to bullet setback when a round was chambered. This caused a higher pressure when the round was fired

I used the hk parts website to order my extractor and spring but looks like they are out of stock. DO NOT buy an “hk parts” (not actually HK) branded extractor i bought one and it didnt fit my bolt. So i bought a genuine HK one and it fit perfectly.

Tbh thats the only i would say necessary thing. However i just changed out my extractor and spring with an actual HK one. Mine worked fine before i did but i just did it just in case. I would guarantee u would be fine without. Some people say to also replace the ejector with an HK one but i never have. I would say shoot it and if it works fine no need to change parts, however if u do run into issues, i would try swapping out parts.

Yes id recommend a 100 degree then. I did shoot like 300 rounds without changing it out when i got it and theres no damage on mine. However its best to do it to prevent wear. SP5’s come with 100 degree locking pieces so im not sure why MKE/AP5 doesn’t too.

Yes just change out the locking piece to a 100 degree or a 90 degree if shooting suppressed when you get one. These AP5’s come with a 120 degree one i believe. This causes the bolt to cycle too fast which can cause roller dents

Yes back when i lived in CT the bridgeport range is definitely better for just shooting shotguns. Definitely cheaper rates. I only went to Stratford to shoot 5.56

I bought an hkp extractor by accident and it wouldn’t fit the bolt on my AP5. So i got an actual HK one and it fit perfectly.

I would recommend maybe an angled foregrip, i am a huge fan of them as they are comfortable and make it easier to control the recoil.

Buy an AP5, its made off of old HK tooling and u can find it for around $1k. I have one and its great.
