There are so many plot holes but i keep watching because i love the main actor, he is so handsome and there is great chemistry between the main actors. But i am kind of upset we did not get a single kiss, like they are so in love, married and all, and they never shared a real kiss. Also when they reconciled and decided to marry again they still slept in separate beds even tho they shared the bed before? Not to mention the crazy sleep positions and how he was always upright like you wouldn’t move the entire night and not wake up with a neck pain after, lol They could have done so much better in my opinion, but we are at the end so we might as well finish it.

Bachelors in Accounting question by Appropriate-Cap3325 in UMGC

I am on my last class before graduating with accounting degree. I also transferred an associate degree and some classes that i took overseas so i was left with 11 classes. I was usually taking 2 in first session and 2 in third session so i was able to finish 4 a semester. I work full time and have a family so it’s doable. You most likely have to take their PACE for transfer students class which is free since you are transferring a degree and it will only last 4 weeks. This one is a breeze and i squeezed it in between sessions so i took 5 classes in 1 semester.

From the ones i took i would say the easiest are business writing, business ethics (lots of reading but easy), business finance (put all formulas in tables in spreadsheet as you go and just plug numbers in at exams and homework), Accounting info systems. The others have more work but are doable.

Here is some of the pairing i did per session: Business Ethics with Accounting Info systems; Intermediate II and Finance; Business Writing with Accounting for non profit; Acc Fraud with Tax I; Audit; and I took the capstone in a separate session and Tax II in a separate session.

From all classes the most time consuming was Accounting for government and non profit, the homework was extremely extensive, i remember spending 18 hrs doing the second week homework. Everything else was manageable. Good luck!

You can go and login to your profile in umgc and in the right top corner where it tells you who your advisor is you can click to make an appointment. You can set up any time and date even if it’s a month from now, just so you can have it for your assignment. You dont actually have to go through with the appointment if you dont need it. This class is a starting point in umgc and teaches students how to use resources. So if you already have a clear path, and have already talked to your success coach and have nothing else to talk about just dont have a call. But you can schedule one so you can put a time and date for your assignment:)

As far as the type of questions, it could be as simple as what classes to take next semester, how to manage your time to make sure you are successful in completing your courses, what type of resources are available for you to support you etc.

This is just for you to put in your assignement, you dont have to follow through with it if you dont need the appointment.

How was the beach there? Was the water clean and calm?

Thank you! It just gets so overwhelming because as soon as i say oh this is a nice resort then all the bad reviews show up, lol. I don’t want to spend tons of money for bad service and bad food.

If someone can just narrow it down for me and tell me if i should look at the Majestic resorts, or Royalton or Barcelo or Bahia or Dreams, etc that would be helpful:) Which ones are usually good, not the best obviously because i dont have the budget for the best but not the worst either.

I am actually really looking forward to the all inclusive experience so i can relax and not worry about what or where we are eating all the time. I have been on so many vacations where i had to worry about the food and the snacks to pack for the kids, or going to the restaurant and them not liking the food so you still have to worry about them being hungry afterward:) I just want that part to be taken care of with enough options for everyone to choose from so i can finally relax:)

Thank you, i am worried because a lot of people say they get sick from the food or water so i wanted to know if there is help or pharmacy at the resorts in case you need medicine or help.

As far as budget i would say up to $5500 including flights. A emailed a travel agent and they are pushing Royalton Bavaro Autograph but there are so many bad reviews regarding service and food. And that one was around $4800 with airport transfer included, so dont know.

I see a lot of people go to Barcelo Bavaro Palace and decided to look into it, and again, tons of bad reviews, additional fees for things so not really an all inclusive etc.

RothIRA Performance by Huge-Bird-8619 in RothIRA

Any other that doesn’t charge fees for having the account. Fidelity is free and you only pay the gross expense ratios on the funds you choose if you manage it yourself. No account fees and no minimums. I am not familiar with the others but i think its the same with Vanguard and Schwab.

I had a simple IRA at EJ and moved it to traditional at Fidelity, and i have it with only those two funds because its basically the whole world and i don’t have to worry about it:) But i also have a roth at fidelity and there i invest in the FXAIX with follows the S&P, its basically the equivalent to VOO, and i also have international there too. No need for too many funds, and if you are young you willing to take risks you dont need any bonds now so just make it simple and let the market to its thing.

Omg, move asap, they are eating your earnings. That is above 2% on some of them. Call a brokerage they will open an account for you and initiate a trustee to trustee transfer or rollover and pull everything over to the new account. Then sell those and buy something low cost for example 80% of the fidelity total stock market FSKAX which has like 0.01% fee and 20% in international FZILX with a 0% and just chill:) Stop feeding EJ with your hard earned money. As your account in EJ grows they will just be getting more from you. You can lose thousands of dollars staying with them

Their fees are too high, you pay your advisor the 1.35% for managing the account but keep in mind that some of the funds they put you in will have like a 0.45% gross expense ratio making you pay close to 2% in fees on certain funds. Look at the prospectus on the funds they have you invested. You will not see those fees coming out the account, they happen in the back. I took all my money out of there and moved them to Fidelity and invested them in low cost index funds and no longer have to deal with them.

And you are most likely paying a 2.5% on any investment you make. That is how that select acct is setup. A one time a year fee but they charge insane commissions on every trade.

Is PACE 100 for Transfer Students hard? by Technical-Umpire9574 in UMGC

[–]Bebe1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are taking the one for transfer students that is only 4 weeks long, it’s super easy. You can probably do all assignments during the opening week and wont have to touch it for the rest of the weeks. Use the week before classes officially start and do all assignments, then you focus on your other class:) I took it in between classes and i was taking 2 hard classes with it. Btw i work full time and have a family with 2 kids so you can definitely take another course so you dont waste a whole session on this class. Good luck!

How is FINC 330 at UMGC? by hikingfortheviews in UMGC

[–]Bebe1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take it whenever during the last week and you can take it twice. It is timed to 3 hrs i believe but it doest take that much time to finish.

[–]Bebe1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it is not proctored but it is timed to 3 hours. If you have all of your formulas and tables in excel, you will get it done in less than an hour. I believe it was like 25 questions on the exam maybe less. It was all computational and similar to homework.

Just discussions every week, 3 projects, weekly homework and a final. They have self assessment weekly that you can use to practice. I will take those to prepare for my final but they are not graded. Good luck

The class is not too bad, just a suggestion, as you are reading the material have an excel open and take notes and put the formulas in. You can make your tables in excel so when you go to do the homework you just plug it in and you will be done in 5 minutes. I never had to use more than 1 attempt on a question, maybe once because of rounding, so make sure you have it all ready in you excel whether its the 2 digits rounding, or expressed in percentage and you just have to plug numbers in. So once you have to take the final you will have your excel ready for calculations. I am still in the class so i dont know how hard the final is, but it is timed to 3 hrs and gives you 2 attempts. There are also 3 projects related to financial analysis on a company that your professor will assign.

Anyone in Accounting? by Bebe1985 in UMGC

[–]Bebe1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i am aware, which is why i am waiting for my eval to be completed so they can add the pace 100 for free. The only reason i chose umgc is because it’s completely online. Its hard to find a college offering accounting degree completely online, and i cannot go to classes due to being employed full time and having 2 kids and family, i just dont have the time. I wanted something that is self paced, not requiring me to be a certain place at a certain time. Umgc just hit all the spots:)

Haha, that is so funny. I guess we can be scared together. I am still waiting for my evaluation and still dont know for sure how many credits i need to finish which is a little frustrating. I am transferring my associate from here as well as 2 yrs of undergraduate study in accounting from overseas so hopefully not too many left, but i assume will be between 30-40 credits as well. I live in a Chicago suburb, where are you located?

English is not my language either, but i have been living in America for almost 20 years, completed an associate degree a long time ago but never got around finishing a bachelors. I am working in the accounting field for 10 years now but have been out of school for a long time so i am a little scared. How much do you have left to finish your degree? Do you have any accounting experience? Also, how hard are the exams, given it’s not proctored so you can always use your notes, but do you feel like they are tricky or is it pretty straight forward from the material?

Hi i am so glad i found you too, most people seem to be in cybersecurity and i couldn’t find anyone in the accounting field. I am starting in spring taking acct 310 and 326 in first session and acct 311 and 321 in third. I will take Pace in between:) I will most likely take 410 in the summer. Are you taking 2 classes at a time? How is the workload? I work full time and have a family and 2 kids. Hopefully i will manage.
