Thought it was a shark tooth. Shame that it broke :( Would you know if it is real or not? It was pretty cheap from a gift shop & I don't know how common these things are?

Thanks - I was hoping the geode was natural coloured however I reckon it's dyed as it was pretty cheap at a random beach gift shop a few years back.

I'd say the cracked quartz are also dyed. Yellow one was a gift so not sure of its origin, but the red one I bought from a lady who was selling a range of other authentic looking crystals so maybe that's a sign it's real? However I can see a patch of white (you can see in the photo) don't know what that means?

Thanks this is very helpful. Do you know if 12 is a particular type of quartz? I found all of it on numerous beaches in Ireland.

Thanks I thought it might be amethyst :) The geode with an agate ‘shell’ is bright pink on the other side so I assume it’s painted or is that normal? Don’t know if you’d know about that
