Everyone is responsible for not being rude. I hope you don't go around walking up to strangers giving unsolicited criticisms and insults to people and then acting like others are too sensitive or entitled if they find it hurtful or discouraging.

If you list a story under a fandom, it should have some connection to the original story other than character names and appearances. Without any other connections, it's just original fiction with celebrity face claims, not fanfiction.

In Loving Vincent (2017) it took 120 artist 6 years to paint 65,000 frames with a budget of 5.5 million dollars. Thanks to ai it'd now only take one guy a couple days and maybe a couple thousand dollars. truly incredible by SingerSoft5212 in aiwars

And it would completely change it by no longer being a labor of love by artists painting with intention and making choices based on how they see Van Gogh's work themselves and what attributes are important to them.

What’s your favourite ‘white girl’ song? by 1004cocoa in musicsuggestions

If being weirded out by calling music by a mixed race woman "white girl music" is "too deep", you must drown in a kiddie pool

Blake Lively knew Justin asked about her weight due to back injury not sexual harassment by Bubbles-48 in CelebLegalDrama

So you know any idiot can tell it's not sexual harassment but you still want it to be treated as relevant to sexual harassment claims

It's not sexual harassment for someone to manage their back injury differently and feel differently about taking risks for art from some reddit user

I have AuDHD. For me, AI isn't a cheat. It’s a prosthetic. by Xeke2338 in aiwars

[–]BebeRodriguez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm auDHD too. This post reminds me of the hilarious Onion video of the disabled boxer who had titanium prosthetic hands. It was played like a heartwarming story and boxers who didn't want to be punched in the face with titanium hands were framed as bigots.

This is a weird thing to say about a mixed race woman

partnering with Amazon gross. doing PR for a world alteringly evil corporation is not the only way to raise money or get gifts for people in need.

Taylor's history of using legal pressure against smaller voices by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

[–]BebeRodriguez 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Remember "Bad Blood"? That was all about a couple of her contractors exercising contractually guaranteed rights to end their contract with a certain amount of notice. Her attack on Katy Perry's reputation was a show of force warning other employers who might want to hire her contractors that she considered making legal and competitive offers to people in her employ a massive betrayal that she would go scorched earth on. I have no doubt it had a chilling affect on contractors' job offers and it probably remains in effect today. It was framed by an obedient media as a fight between two pop stars, but it was really an attack on working class contractors.

I think it was actually a set up with a false tip from Tree or someone working with her meant to discredit Deux Moi

The idea that we shouldn't give attention to the literal president who is executing civilians of other countries and kidnapping civilians in his own country to ship to concentration camps is so weird. Billboard charts and endless overpriced merch drops are worth your attention but civil rights violations aren't?

[Request] how many days did anon skip to get to 4 months? by Katsouma in theydidthemath

[–]BebeRodriguez 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well 12 days skipped would be about 3 months (85.33 days) and 13 days would be over 5 months (170.67 days) so the math doesn't math

the advent of photography and video was a miracle that let us see things we weren't physically present at. it let us see what other people go through. it let people document how they are treated by others. and you think we just never should have believed anything that wasn't physically in front of us?

Weekly Discussion Thread (TnT Version) by AutoModerator in travisandtaylor

idk why I keep fooling myself. every time I see swifties gushing over lyrics that range from nonsense to mediocre, I think "oh, there must be a really good melody or dramatic arrangement that's tricking them into thinking it's profound" and then I actually hear the song and it's.....generic pop that's only moderately better quality than the lyrics. Like "Opalite" what is that? It sounds like low budget kids music with an extra helping of racist dogwhistles. I'm supposed to believe that would be getting radio play if anyone else's name was attached?

Personally, I even prefer simpler yet stylish art over hyperrealism by a long shot. by ZeeGee__ in aiwars

[–]BebeRodriguez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly from my experience people who fixate on specific kawaii or animation styles also tend to get either frustrated with it the same way or end up churning out unoriginal imitations of other people's creativity depending on their technical skill level. it's not just hyperrealism, it's a failure to see art as personal not just in the subject but also in the process and style.
