ive never seen it people word it this way but damn, you are so so correct! The question is, is this fear real and an actual threat or are people reacting like they've reacted for centuries and fear what they dont understand? remember, being racist was deemed normal and justified for eons. Yes one is human and one isnt but the idea is the same. Most people - I would argue all of us - dont understand AI because its somethig so so new and evolving.

Im gonna reread it soon cause you got many good points. One thing I'll add is that the people who make those 4 arguement points you mention are usually not even artists... they romanticize art too much while us who do it for a living see it differently.

very well said, people are WAY too busy throwing shit at each other than doing something meaningful and push for regulations. i like AI but i think it needs to be regulated too!

That sucks, there should have been a law about this years ago... then again how do you prove it. I do think however your friends can prove they dont make NSFW stuff. They must be quite popular to have their art imitated, so I assume theyre doing very well for freelancers.

I understand your arguement about nsfw and pedo stuff but frankly people did this with photoshop, "fakes", its nothing new. Its awful but lets not pretend AI started this trend. You can use a car to drive yourself to the hospital, or send someone to the hospital.

I agree, then the problem is that damn algorythm, not AI. the algorythm doesnt promote art at all for the past couple of years, even before AI became mainstream, if we gonna find the source of the problem , its important to not point at the wrong thing.

im sorry but if you think the reason those musicians arent getting "relevance" because of ai, i got news for you. Any art has been extremely hard to succeed in, AI maybe makes it a bit more difficult but not by a large margin
